He did a terrific job, no more so in the harnessing of Taarabt’s talent. But let’s not pretend he didn’t have access to resources we could only dream of now. We had squad players who’d be starting every game for the current side. |

People love to forget that Warnock had a division busting budget and we had the likes of Tommy Smith and Rob Hulse as squad players. |

What word would you use to describe our season if the owners had pulled the plug, we’d gone into administration, had points deducted and been relegated in February having won just one game? |
