 | Forum Reply | Prediction - Who gets injured on Saturday at 10:25 27 Feb 2026
I think Kone is already carrying a serious injury, if he goes out we are left with no recognised striker, again. This is the position I'd be most cautious about. Good job Chair was back at Xmas, as we needed him |

Yeah, I imagine its pretty toxic at the moment if you are not in the inner circle I still can't work out why Furlong was pushed out? I'd assumed he wanted a higher up job (and probably deserved one after his success) But, he's not working anywhere else yet as far as I can see. So, maybe he was just outspoken of the way things were being done by this inner circle. Football is a fairly small industry, and I reckon people working in it have an idea better than us what is going on. But if it was my money bankrolling this I'd be having a conversation with the people whose job is it to keep my first team fit. You can't sell these assets for top dollar if they are not able to get on the pitch and demonstrate that they can do a job. |

I agree with all of that ^^ However, I'm not clamouring to get Steve Gallen back in at QPR. We must have the worst record for destroying legendary reputations in the whole football league. Someone would have to be mad to go back into what surely is a lose lose situation. I still think its a massive shame we couldn't have used Mark Warburton as a DoF. If he could fit into the model we have now I'm 100% sure the club would be better off and that £2m loss every month could be utilised in a better way. |

Isn't it strange how the EPL takes place over about 10 months? It allows for teams to be good at points, or bad at other times. If you can recall there was a period this season where QPR themselves looked "quite good" and we had brief aspirations to the top six. There are many reasons why a teams form can change, maybe Southampton started the season with a losing mentality bought over from a poor year in the Prem, like Luton did? |

Not another contract injury? You just can't plan for those can you? Sorry you can't see your favourite players |

Him and Roy Keane are now self-aware, so its almost like a soap opera. Reactions and comments are 100% hyped for the audiences now. But, if we want to blame one person its Jake "high performance" Humpheries. Poisonous stuff coming out of him, like listening to someone reading out LinkedIn profiles |

never felt any hate for Brentford, or Fulham to be fair. I'd rather see a smaller club do well than watch, Man City, Utd, Chelsea or Newcastle just buy their way out of trouble. What Brentford are doing is actually helping the game develop. I think the key is (luxury at the moment) sell when the time is right, but only when you already have the replacement (or at least is lined up). I have faith this method can work, especially if we chuck in a new Cat 1 system that allows us to grab youngsters from further afield and demonstrate a clear pathway to the first team and maybe the Premier League beyond that. I'd imagine Eze features heavily on the videos shown to parents at the moment. |
 | Forum Reply | Will Chair be back to his injury free best? at 15:52 23 Feb 2026
I'm hoping that Chair will interact well with Burrell when they are both on the pitch. In a similar way he did with Willock? Maybe if he knows there is a willing runner in front he'll be more inclined to play the earlier ball? I do agree though, on paper, or in theory, he isn't the right kind of player for our new direct style of play. Although those spate of 0-0 games highlighted that we miss his creativity to create chances when the game is flat and the oppo are not attacking, which lets us counter quickly. --see OXF and CHA where we should have got more |

I just checked to see what the age of their current squad is, and if the conveyor belt has slowed post Mbeuno or Toney. I think they are still doing ok, by the looks of it from the outside... |

Mic'd up is very much an American phenomenon and not the brainchild of SKY. I quite like the Refcam though that TNT have bought in. Imagine if that had been around to record John Terry? |
 | Forum Reply | Broken Chair? at 15:26 23 Feb 2026
Didn't he try and play on as well? -- it was so long ago now I forget. I've got some recollection of him getting up and playing on for a bit before eventually going down. I thought Illy was ligaments though, wasn't he holding the front of his leg below the knee? I can't keep up anymore. Anyway I'm sure its nothing to do with all our performance experts, you only have to look at the availability of the U8's, Ladies and Tiger Cubs to know what a great job they have done this year |

I disagree. The player trading model isn't to sell your best asset and then recruit the replacement. It should be one step before that. So, to use some examples. Sell Varane, move Morgan into Varanes squad position, use that money to recruit the replacement for Morgan. Its the only way to prevent constant fire fighting and panic buys. Also, the "bidding war" for broadcast rights is insane. It broke, ITV Digital, Setanta and BT Sports. The numbers going out do not match those coming in, mental. The only way I see it changing is if the UK Blackout law changes for the 3pm KO and it becomes feasible for someone (or even the clubs themselves) to stream their own content. As long as the price point was good you could move people off fire sticks and SKY to get that revenue straight into club accounts. Its already started with Premier League Productions setting up on their own ready for the next season and a global channel there. Its not a lot of extra work to make a new outlet for the UK if the law is changed. |

Virgo is pretty good on co-comms. My biggest bug bear is that the commentators seem terrified to say when a game stinks! I've watched so many poor games, where they are talking it up, like its the most exciting thing ever... Don Goodman is probably on the list for me, always referring back to what he would have done, as if he had the career of Messi |

But did we clarify which axis we wanted to flip 90° on? If we rotate on the z it would make the coin toss very important |
 | Forum Reply | Club Accounts at 16:45 18 Feb 2026
Agreed, Morgan has Little Tom Carroll vibes. Always ready to receive a ball and try and make a forward pass, even if it doesn't work. This can stand out in a midfield where we've seen Field and Varane make safe 5yd passes sideways and backwards all season |

I don't think its a secret, but when we buy a player the reported money will be cheapest deal for the club, when we sell a player the reported fee will be the highest one. So, Armstrong could have been £2.5m if he had scored X goals, won X international caps, gone to the moon, married Heidi Klum etc.. Getting any money for a player is a big step on from paying up their contracts so they can leave, which is what we used to do |

I think JS is probably well into his McClaren phase, where he is now worried about losing a few games in a row and getting fired. This means he'd rather shut out the opposition with a "team of men" than take some chances with the youth. Maybe I'm wrong, but from what I've seen with Morgan sometimes those forward passes don't come off, so the manager is preferring to keep possession? Kolli? I don't know, maybe he sees something in training, or doesn't see something? Personally I'd like to have seen him have a run of games, the trouble is he's not a replacement for Burrell, which is what the manager is looking for and hoping Bennie would be. Bennie is still young, so I wouldn't write him off, but he was terrible in that last match, along with most of the team. This next run of games is very difficult and six more of those performances could see the board making another move, which is not really what the club needs after looking at these accounts |

A few of the older players left. The Captain of that team (Harry), who I thought was good just went to Bracknell town. But, he was 21 and nowhere near our first team, so there you go. I also like Alfie Tuck, who is still around, but he needs to bulk up if he is going to succeed in men's football. I guess Bennie and Esquardina will count as a move from DS to first team for this season? I don't know what they count as a win now though, is it 2 or 3 players breaking through each year? Or, is it ultimately when we manage to sell someone on who has come through? |
