The day Les Ferdinand made QPR fans rich on Tyneside — history
at 01:57:47

I've still got the photo Clive, with you, your Dad, your Grandad, Gary Mc, Fras etc. in that away corner, you'd be hard pressed to find it now, how many got on that 10-1 for Ferdinand? Always remember the story Stuart used to tell as well, when he and your Grandad got physically threatened by a Vicar in the stands at another Newcastle game.

Neil Warnock — just what we needed really if I’m honest
at 04:59:56

As usual Clive, another great piece (your Dad would be so proud of you) and yet another killer line thrown in to make me laugh before the clock has struck 5 - "Ultimately only the assessment of Clarke was correct." - absolute class. Would have preferred Warnock still at the helm (and thanks Neil for all that you've done for us) but if it was another club with no win in 9, you would wonder why no change. The thing is now, new man comes in, a repeat performance against Newcastle, atmosphere at HQ against MK seeing us through, 3 points against Wigan and then dispatching Chelscum again would see us through to the 5th round for the first time in ages and sitting comfortably above the relegation zone and fans will be going "Neil who?", which would be a great shame.

QPR hope to upset the natives in Stoke again — history
at 20:38:32

Remember going to the game with Bircham's old man, Lee. He was meant to be taking Marc and Martin Rowlands back afterwards, as they were going straight out and didn't want to catch the team bus. The Old Bill had other ideas, made the coach pull up to the exit so nobody could get down the side and we had to journey off not knowing where we were picking them up (eventually turned out to be one of the service stations around Birmingham, talk about cloak and dagger). If I remember, the Royce incident, the stewards allowed two 'fans' to get on the pitch, hit Royce, they got let off and Royce got either a ban or a fine. Also, that time or maybe another, their 'fans' trying to get over that great chicken wire deterrent to prove yet another point.

Think he means it's Rowlands replacing himself.

Match with history of legendary players, and amazing games — fixture history
at 08:34:39

Clive, the 2-1 game came in the week John Major uttered in parliament that there were ba$tards in the cabinet. Cue the game, I was there with your Dad and Grandad amongst others (the Goldhawk lot). If I remember correctly, Les was 6-1 to be first goalscorer as he was not due to play. Cue a flurry of money on him. Then came the classic, when a spotty young copper castigated your Grandad for calling the ref a ba$tard and then seeing him go quiet and red faced when Tom replied "if it's good enough for our bloody Prime Minister, then it's good enough for me" Still got photos of us all on the terrace in that corner of St. James'. Also, you'll have to remind us all of the time when your Grandad and Stuart got involved with a priest who threatened to chin them at another Newcastle game (not that I'd have messed with your Grandad, one of the only blokes I've met who made a pint pot disappear when he held it).
