Chair
at 09:29 24 Dec 2025

I read something (might have been on here) where the opinion was that Chair is a lot more prominent from a media and social media point of view. He or his team are posting more on Instagram, he did the article about his court case etc (away from the club) and now he is on Sky. I think it was being suggested that this was part of a strategy to get 'out there' a bit more for maybe a move away.

Just wondering what others thought of this view? I myself not really sure either way

It's no coincidence that our wing play improved once RND started to get forward more and Dunne switched with Mbengue. Chair is a 10 but with an overlapping fullback he has options and when he cuts inside he can keep going more into the middle as we still have width. Chair is great when fully fit for us. Work rate and an ability to hold the ball and to allow us to get up the pitch. I think it's a positive sign that we can question whether or not he plays as it shows that we aren't as reliant as we use to be. People right or wrongly ask the question as we now have some viable alternatives that offer different things

I think to get the most out of Chair you need a fullback who will get forward and overlap. Chair doesn't have the out and out pace of a winger but he is good at coming inside. It limits our width but if you have RND galloping on the outside it gives us the option to go on the outside or cut in. Can anyone remember if RND was a loan until January or season long loan? I would get him for the season if only a loan until January and if he stays fit, I wouldn't mind us trying to get him permanently after that

The benefit of having more depth in the squad. No more having to rush players back and watching them pull up again (Wilock). Poku has looked good when he has come on. Good feet, direct and looks strong. Slowly increase his game time, when the situation is right and slowly introduce him into games

He is never going to race on to the ball with pace and out strip defenders. However, he is bloody strong, has good movement and knows where the goal is. Play to his strengths and he will score goals. Sometimes I think it's forgotten how quickly he has moved up the leagues. He will still need to adapt to this level. He is still only 22 too.

The best football played by QPR.

One game that always sticks in my mind, one because it was good football but I have never experienced the feeling of complete calm despite losing. Derby 2, QPR 4 under Jim Magilton. I believe we were 2-0 down but I was so relaxed and just knew we would still win

As in he still got paid? Whether he was having mental health issues or wasn't mentally or physically fit to play, wouldn't stop the club paying him. Still their legal obligation to pay his wages. Unless you are saying he was faking these issues, hence stole his wages?

It's great to see intent in our play. It might not always pay off but if you have that mind set it can only lead to better things. It also helps to set standards

I know some people might think the celebrating after a win with the likes of Mbengue doing his thing, is a bit much. However, I think it builds a connection between the players and the fans. It's about time we had some fun at games and celebrate our successes. I think it has also helped players like Madsen, who now looks fully up to speed and controlling midfield in certain games.

I think at first the role of captain didn't quite sit right with him. He was always a leader with his performances. He has had to learn how to be a leader with the way he deals with the players during games and how he interacts with them. The last few weeks he has hit that balance perfectly.

He has a proper football brain. Understands space and how to create it with a simple first time pass. I think the manager saw that early and Madsen is almost his voice on the pitch. He will implement the game plan. The turn around in his defensive play is remarkable. At times he just bullies people

Played some good stuff at times. What impressed me is the effort. Everyone was up for that. Good goal line clearance from Nardi too. Madsen midfield enforcer.

No finger wagging here little man. Purely pointing out the obvious that you are oblivious too. You say you don't mind if people agree with you or not or maybe that's just directed towards me. Either way, if you don't care either way, why do you get all huffy and throw your toys out your pram.

No. I believe you have unrealistic expectations on what is going to be asked in the managers post-match interviews, taking into account the questions are being asked by someone who is employed by the club and/or public relations teams. You are repeatedly told this. Yes, I totally agree with you that the manager should face higher scrutiny but that won't happen through in house media. You are then a rude and condescending to anyone who points this out or disagrees with you. They reply in kind. You then play the victim, and in a lot of posts will add something about how you are treated/spoken to, for just having an opinion. Like your reply here. Failing to understand or realise how you write when someone gets in a debate with you. For someone who says that they like language/words and I believe being some sort of editor (I apologise, I can't remember the exact details) your inability to be able to have some self-reflection and acknowledge the words you use and the tone you chose, is ever so slightly spikey, is surprising

Despite stating facts, I look forward to being called a moron or something like that blah blah blah (also I think you are right about the 5 changes for West Ham)

No I totally get that but it also depends on what the manager wants from him. What attributes he is interested in maximizing. I think he wants someone who can start play from deep. The slide rule pass to RND a prime example. It might be worth trying putting him further forward, I just think doing that upsets the balance of the rest of the team as you we don't have anyone else with his range of passing who can play from that slight deeper position
