So satisfying beating PNE.
The midfield trio of Field, Varane and Morgan makes us so much more dynamic in attacking the final third.

Football's a funny old game.
Over the last 5 or so matches we've played pretty much played how I thought we would under Ainsworth.
Positives
Well organised, hard to break down & good team spirit
Negatives
Sacrificing any consistency in attack, relying too much on our defence to keep us in the game & at times a bit boring.
Overall.
Don't get me wrong, I'm very happy with the points we've got in the last two weeks and we have improved as a team.
I just hope in the 2nd half of the season we see more marti-ball and les gaz-ball. |

Great to follow up Saturday's win with another 3 points.
Yes the first half was boring, but the team really impressed in the 2nd half.

Our best performance of the season :)
Great to see Koli score a brace.
Was he playing as a direct replacement for Celar or he was a little deeper and more on the left wing?
Either way, I hope his contract situation is sorted and he's staying at the club.
He's a maverick with a bit of swagger and I love it.

Heartbreaking.
I thought we had gone back to Marti basics the last few games.
Tough to beat and players getting stuck in, whilst keeping a solid formation.
Yet this is a complete relapse.

Frey was fantastic in beast mode and Dembele sublime.
Our midfield may still be a little muddled defensively, but at least they are getting forward and attacking.
Can't wait to see Chair come back into this side.
Of the 5 games we've played so far I've found them all entertaining - This one being the best.
And with only 1 loss in 5, we've become hard to beat.
How cool is that! |

Thread | Should Dykes play alongside Field in midfield

Given that Colback will be suspended and Varance looks a little lightweight as he finds his feet, should we move Dykes from attack to defensive midfield?
He is defensively a strong player IMHO. He is tall, phyisically strong, can win tackes and win headers. Plus he has a good press and can break up play.
Is this worth a try or am I being too optimistic in thinking Dykes is good enough to do this? |

Really enjoyed the game and the overall performance against a top 6 PL team bodes well.
Given that there was no chair and willock I thought we adapted well.
Does this mean we are sticking with 4-2-3-1 as our preferred system over switching to 4-3-3? |

With Begovic, Ozzie & Drewe all having their contracts now expiring does this mean the only remaining weak link in our defence is cannon?
Is he worth holding onto for a season to see if comes good or should we sell or loan him out?
Imho, he's yet to fully prove his fitness and I think he's also too small |

Another entertaining game with a moment of sheer class from Chair.
Great to see Walsh have such a great debut.
Lovely to see Uncs come on for his farewell.
Above all else, well done to us fans.
We backed the team through thick and thin this season and got rewarded in the end.
The QPR swagger is back.
