You don't seem to understand - the problem is definitely NOT our front 4 - it’s the time the ball takes to get from defence to attack . One midfielder in particular continually slows the ball to them giving away any advantage and so making it very difficult for them to get in behind the full back thus creating chances. You can’t blame strikers when they are starved of service. They need chances to convert.
FWIW I do think his days are numbered - new regimes often have different ideas to the old. If he was pulling up trees it wouldn’t be an issue but going 6 games without scoring is going to shine the spotlight on the manager. Perhaps things will be different from now on we didn’t deserve to get beaten at Burnley and played better the previous two games so maybe not. They’ll give him a chance I have no doubt. |

I was at that first game away to Oldham and we dominated but they fluked it 2-1. I remeber thinking even on the way back to the bus we might win the league. Wonderful stuff |

They might very well be numbered , most managers don’t get long service awards. I suppose it all boils down to how much faith Coleman has in him.
The previous owners didn’t give two hoots how things went - I’ve a feeling out of our new backers both Morris and Morse look to be real fans - like us but with the power to change things we ordinary fans don’t. If they back him and still see a lack of direction in our play, passing aimlessly at the back and mid table mediocrity do you really think they’re going to say “ you’re doing a fine job Luke carry on mate”?
That’s football - for Gods sake we sacked Laudrup in the middle of an European campaign after just winning our only piece of silverware! Get real man |

I think that the good news will be that we will continue to scout out good quality players at low cost from abroad and reignite our development of players through the age groups.
Having scouts with a similar eye for talent that Kevin Reeves had for us a while back will be key to our success. Im hoping it’s like a return to the clubs days of acting smarter in the recruitment area whilst also keeping it sustainable and within our means. If we look at the way Brighton have recruited these last few years buying low and selling high that’s the way we want to be as a club.
I almost have a feeling similar to when we get rid of Petty but instead of having to climb the whole FL ladder we’re already three quarters of the way up. |

I’m not saying we should sack him. What I’m saying is with hopefully the better standard of players we start signing the less the excuse of “the manager isn’t being backed” will be tolerated. That is the same for all managers.
I’m not convinced that Williams has the nous to change a game when the going gets tough but I’d be delighted to be proven wrong. At times we’ve seen some green shoots only for him to fall back on Russball lite. The jury is still out for me. |

If they cause us to start looking up instead of nervously down that will do for me. Ending the stagnation that the club has endured for 8 years will be refreshing too. I’d be alarmed if we started spending money crazily - let’s just keep on unearthing cheap gems like we used to on the European market and more recently South and Central America and keep a healthy turnover of players at profit. I do think Williams’ days as manager are now definitely numbered should this take over get the green light . |

Yes we didn’t get our just reward today - I didn’t see the handball real time so I can’t comment but the referee had a decent game apart from the possible sending off he missed. Must be the Scotty Parker magic - they certainly did nowhere near enough for the three points. I just hope they get mad and take it out on Leeds in a fortnight |
