Problem is with the players currently at his disposal don’t think any system would work. The injury list doesn't help but nothing shown so far indicates that the signings have been good enough. All of us have the same unanswered question as to who was responsible for bringing them in. Is Marti having to play the hand that he’s been dealt or has he been a part of signing players that just aren’t good enough. At the moment we have not one decent striker, poor full backs, a midfield that doesn’t gel and central defenders Cookie and JCS who only seem consistent when both are playing together as soon as one is out the defence crumbles. Not looking good at all and the summer recruitment doesn’t inspire a great deal of confidence for incoming players in the January window - and it might be too late by then anyway. |

Two strikers are not enough. Even last year they bought in Frey as a third striker. We have now parted company with two of those and bought in one. Having players that are not recognised as strikers trying to operate as such is not sufficient. One injury to one of those two players is almost inevitable. Do you really want to wait to the January window to have to fire fight when insufficient number of strikers has always led to a problem in the past. Midfield players and we have bucket loads of them are not in my opinion the answer. |

Seems to me more down to an inconsistent referee. Let far more dissent go than that shown by Colback unfortunately standard of refs in the championship pretty poor in my opinion. |

Was he really such a liability as suggested. Marti has come in for a lot of praise on this board and rightly so but chose to strengthen other areas in the team rather than the goalkeeper. He’d watched all the other games before taking over so would have seen his performances. The article is about reviewing this season- what happens next year is a different topic. Personally have seen a lot worse keepers down the bush over the years . As an ex keeper have never seen the sense of making a keeper captain but there have been a few high profile ones. |

In my time the departures of Marsh, Parkes, Bowles, Seaman, Roeder, Fenwick, Parker ,Ferdinand and more recently Taraabt, Austin and Eze have all been disappointing especially for what we received for many of them but in line with the words of the song the first cut is the deepest and the loss of Marsh was probably the one that lingers with me the longest. |

May not have been as talented as some who have worn the hoops but always gave his all unlike many of those more talented players. Squads depend on players like him. Good luck to wherever he ends up. |

To be honest thought it was more about the striker than the keeper. It should have been hit low into the corner not near enough straight at the keeper but he made the save . |

Trouble is it hasn’t been dealt with for a number of years now - you’re more confident than I am that they will deal with it. We’ve still got six to go can’t rely on defenders in all those but it looks like we will have to. |

True but how many times have our players mucked up that simple cross/pass. |

Mainly because we would have closed the gap on Huddersfield which drawing didn’t do |

They have freshened up their squad early in window -different team to that which was struggling. We have same players so much harder for us |

In the Derry and Hill mould. Summed the position up as it is. Four teams struggling at moment to keep up with rest and even if we beat Huddersfield on Sunday they have fresh faces coming in to help their cause - something looking unlikely for us. Will take a lot to bring a fifth team into contention with the poor and inconsistent form the bottom four are showing - good to hear from someone who acknowledges our position and the reasons we are in it. The defence does play better with him there and would go so far as to say that with him available it will be an uphill struggle but without him the trap door certainly beckons. |

If they are all for stupid moments fair enough but is he the only player that is prepared to put himself about and risk being booked. Same thing was being said about Colbeck - at least we might have two to share it now😜 |

Having no strikers is what is killing us. Four massive home games and two lost already. If we have no money to buy one with then it is division 1 for sure. If we have any to spend but haven’t got off our backsides to bring one in then that is shameful as it has been obvious for a long long time that we are lacking in that area. To think I’ll be watching them at Stevenage next year is unbelievable- it really has gone badly wrong. |
