We've been pretty successful at falling apart. |

I found the Premiership awful, I couldn't stand It, there were people In the lower loft whom I never saw before (or since). There was a thing going on from some media outlets that we should be grateful for 'being there'. It was inevitable that we were gonna get relegated. Now look getting there was great I had some great away days, but I don't know, I remember the manure team coach turning up at LR and It was ridiculous, It was a circus People taking pictures of the coach driver for goodness sake. We had a few good days and results but no, some of the games I remember thinking we can't live with these bastards (and we couldn't) I just view the Premiership as a televisual pile of £ I'll stay we we are please comfortably numb. |

We have a squad of players who are below average for this league. Yes those same players will win games and even put a run together but no Sir they are not good enough for 40 odd games. I swear to fck 39 games into the season and we still do not have a recognised striker/ half decent goal poacher. Fck this do you want to do this again next season In this league or the one below? Kill me for repeating myself but It's the same year after year,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, |

Of course we shouldn't need to practice those things, but someone explain to me why we were so useless today? |

**Doesn't matter who you pick though if you don't run, track runners, defend properly etc you lose the game and we didn't do any of those things** Well we've just had two weeks to practice those very things. |

Spent the best part of the day In the garden, filled up the bird feeders and fell asleep in the quietness and the English Spring sunshine. I can recommend retirement. |

From the Guardian 13 Years ago; **Joey Barton finally signed a highly lucrative four-year contract at QPR on Friday after it became apparent no other club were poised to make a late offer for him and Newcastle United would not perform a volte-face. The midfielder, handed a free transfer by Newcastle after criticising the club on Twitter, had stalled for 24 hours on his move to Loftus Road, appealing for "time and space" after passing a medical in west London on Thursday. Yet following a day of talks with Neil Warnock he accepted an offer reported to be around £80,000 a week which, as well as representing a significant improvement on his near £70,000 a week Newcastle wage, will make him the highest paid player in QPR's history. Although Alan Pardew, Newcastle's manager, had said he "would welcome" Barton back and "look after him", it is understood that the St James' Park board never contemplated offering him the contract extension he craved and were delighted to learn that he had boarded a Kings Cross-bound train on Wednesday.** |

Why Is this happening to football clubs? why the insane demand for cash to keep clubs going? It was never like this In the old days, you turned up at LR on a Saturday and never once was the clubs finances discussed at half time. I thought the fans at Scunthorpe were great when we last played there, decent working class friendly people, you know football fans. Look, If your club finishes the season on say 55 points but you are under the threat of a points deduction and possible relegation how can that be right and who the hell are these people In grey suits making these decisions? I accept and understand rules and regulations are a must but strewth my love for the game Is getting stretched to the limit, clubs like Notts County, Bury and Scunthorpe mean a lot to me they are the backbone of football In this Country, the clubs who have had huge amounts of 'spendable' cash bestowed on them mean nothing to me nor do they're results on the pitch. I seemed to have spent my decades watching and supporting our club looking at the league table every Saturday or Wednesday night when I got home, the thought of our clubs bank balance never entered my old head. Sometimes you have to say why don't they just leave things alone. |
