 Tuesday, 29th May 2012 21:24 Happy-go-lucky Tom Lees pens a new four year deal to stay at Leeds. He might be criticised for his seemingly perpetual frown, but there is no doubting Tom Lees commitment to the whites' future as he put pen to paper on a new four year deal. Lees emerged as one of last season's few plus points with 44 appearances for the whites'. His previous deal was only signed last September but in recognition of his progress last season, Lees deservedly has accepted an improved offer and the news has been somewhat buried beneath all the takeover/investor talk. I have met the lad briefly and I would not call him miserable, just very quiet and grounded. He does sometimes look like he has the weight of the world on his shoulders, but anyone playing in that defence last season would! hopefully he will go on and form a solid central defensive partnership with Jason Pearce for many years to come!
