Ivan Bravo, formerly of Real Madrid, joins the Leeds United board Tuesday, 25th Apr 2017 13:16 by @LucasMonk_ Leeds United have today confirmed the appointment of Ivan Bravo to the board at Elland Road. Bravo arrives with vast experience to his name, having served as Real Madrid's director of strategy between 2003 and 2010, in addition to overseeing the development of the Aspire Academy for Sports Excellence in Qatar. When speaking of his new role, Bravo said: “Leeds United is a club steeped in prestige with an extremely proud fanbase and I am thrilled to join the Board of Directors. "I hope my experience gained across the game will add value for the club and I look forward to working with the ownership, management and the whole team to take Leeds United forward, on and off the pitch.” Meanwhile, United co-owner Andrea Radrizzani was effusive in his praise for Bravo, after committing his first noteworthy act since buying 50% of the club. “On behalf of everybody at Leeds United I would like to welcome Ivan to the club. He brings to the role a wealth of knowledge and expertise gained from leading roles at the very highest levels of the game. "I look forward to working closely with Ivan as the club comes together to build on the progress achieved this season,” the Italian remarked.
