At a time where Dale are fighting (sort of) for their football league status, another forward has gone out on loan to the National League.

Tahvon Campbell has joined Aldershot on loan for the remainder of the season. The 26-year-old was a big money (for us) signing from Woking last January at the end of a transfer window that will live very long in the memories of Dale fans and not for the right reasons.

It was rumoured at the time that the deal was a six figure deal, and to say it's not worked out is somewhat of an understatement. In just over a year, he's played 21 games, scoring just 3 goals. He's spent the vast majority of his time injured with a foot injury that seemingly doesn't ever really improve and he's made just 8 sub appearances this season, scoring once, that being in the Pizza Cup against Liverpool U21's.

Jim Bentley hinted at the forum that some players who didn't buy-in to his methods in training could find themselves going out on loan and since then we've seen Tyrese Sinclair leave on loan to Altrincham and now Tahv to Aldershot. Tyrese Sinclair has got 4 goals in 5 games since joining Alty so no doubt Campbell will be hoping for a similar turn in form.
