![]() Tuesday, 25th Mar 2025 09:25 by Mark Monk It looks like we won't know the full extent of Willie Gnotos ankle injury until Thursday at the earliest. Leeds are keeping tight lipped on the fate of Gnoto, who limped off on Friday night at half time during Italy's U21 clash with Holland. It is believed Gnoto returned to Leeds ahead of Italy's game with Denmark U21's last night so the Leeds medical team can assess the damage. Now all eyes are on Daniel Farkes press conference ahead of Saturdays home clash with Swansea City. If it is bad then it will be a massive blow for both player and fans. Although he has managed 35 starts this year, these have mainly come from the bench. Prior to the international break Gnoto came on as a half time sub for Brendan Aaronsen ay QPR and was credited with the MOTM award for inspiring Leeeds to grab a point at Loftus Road. But with both Sheffield United and Burnley winning, we now cling to top slot by goal advantage only and must make it count on Saturday against Swansea who are down in 16th place. Whether Willie is involved remains to be seen, but even with Daniel Farke being notorious not to make changes unless it's necessary you'd have backed Gnoto to start as the number 10 over Aaronsen who has looked jaded for some time. Fortunately there appears to be no other issues with the other 15 players who went out on international duty last week. So much for a break eh?!
