As the Leeds all over vlog revealed, Adidas released the new Leeds United 26/27 home kit before the club did! However eagle-eyed spotters might have already seen it on sale around the globe during the past few weeks.

I've seen posts on social-media claiming to have seen it on sale in outlets in Turkey, Israel and even Australia. The away kit was launched last month and has gone down a storm as its yellow, with a retro feel featuring the white rose badge and the Adidas trefoil plus the sponsors logo has no red in it! We wore in Tampa on Saturday night for the first time in our pre-season 3-2 defeat to Wrexham in our opening friendly.

Those despising our sponsors original logo probably won't be buying it and another talking point is the pinstripes, or pin-hoops? The yellow and blue thin lines go horizontally rather than vertically, which has been the case when we experimented with that design aspect twice in the past.

And both of those season's were largely forgettable! In 81/82 we were relegated from the old first division. In 2005/06 we lost the Championship play-off final to Watford. Im not sure if the 2003/04 away kit counts as that had white stripes on a navy blue background and of course we were relegated from the EPL.

Lets hope its third-time lucky for the stripes or the change of direction for them proves a lucky omen
