A bad day at the office.

And Harry now says he will give Boothroyd another go. Oh dear!

I too am now resigned to relegation. There is no way this team will be able to score more than the odd goal here or there. We just haven't had any form of attack for best part of 6 months now. Remy is 'crocked' and even of he comes back next game he is likely to miss as many as he plays. Hindsight is wonderful but we would have been better off paying 8 million for Crouch and Odemwinge.

Whatever we do in the summer we must buy some quality forwards or we will not be getting back up

Again not very good and not very lucky; not the ticket for an away game against a confident, structured, and well gelled Swansea. Cesar's reliance on the punch-away save cost us dearly on the first two goals. I don't overly blame him for the 3rd goal as he had to watch the near post and I reckon Hernandez could try that cross 100 times and not score on 99 of them. 4th goal Cesar had no chance. For us to have any hope he has to be brilliant every time out and that's unlikely. The loss to England won't have helped his confidence.

And yet despite everything, with a well deserved penalty and a little luck on M'Bia's and SWP's and Tarbs' shots, it could have been much closer. Still not convinced about our offense though.

The Man U game aside, i'm looking at the upcoming matches and thinking they are 'winnable' but the fact is we've won just two games all season and (Villa aside) all these other teams seem to play better football, by which I mean passing, creating chances, being competitive and just playing as a team.

I saw the highlights on MOTD last night - a poor performance from the back four. In fact there were 7 R's shirts in the box for Swansea's third goal and they still managed to scope. Samba was made to look a bit of a mug for the fourth but in fairnesss he's probably still getting back to match fitness and Mitchu is razor sharp.

We have a losing culture which is feeding on itself and will only change with back to back wins but I just can't see where the goals will come from.

It is a grim prospect. We can hold teams but if we fall behind or need to win, we're just don't have it. We just can't make up the gap now. Relegated in early February wasn't quite my expectation this year!

Great performance all round - bit more clinical finishing and it could have been a rout - it took a few Stellas to get my voice back last night

I nearly forgot wasn't the referee pants - slightly better in the second half but really bottled the cast iron peno

Great result rewarding a fantastic performance. Interesting that Davis mentioned just how hard they have to work to play that type of pressing game successfully. We looked pretty leggy in the last 15 minutes, and couple of chances went untaken. Question is whether Saints can sustain that type of work rate till the end of the season.

manager got it spot on and city looked ordinary. The two centre backs who are "not up to the prem" were top class, Fox, deputising for the injured Shaw had a good game if we ignore the two errors leading up to a soft goal for City and the other couple of times he gave the ball away cheapley. Clyne was good on both sides of the park. Schneiderlin, Cork, and Punch were on fire as was the big number 7 and J Rod. Davis S would have got a 10 from me if not for the mis-placed corner that led to the score at the wrong end. Boruc made some top draw saves at crucial times. A good day to be a Saint, long may it continue. I for one like this approach to football.

To be honest it was over last week, we had to win the Norwich game. It doesn't help that all the other teams are playing well; or it's just us playing s***. Southampton, Reading etc all getting surprise wins and draws; they seem to play their oppositions on an off day ie like Southampton yesterday, Man City were poor but then Southampton are playing well. When any of those teams play us they are on form (or we just make them look good). I just hope Wigan and Aston Villa get relegated too, mainly because the Wigan stadium is never 50% full when watching it on the telly, not exactly a great look for English football and Aston Villa because they are so dull.

Dreadful result and ends our unbeaten start in 2013. Our five game run saw us drop eight points, score two goals and park the bus for long periods in all those matches. During that run we missed a golden chance to reach the last eight of the FA Cup, let DJ Campbell go to Blackburn and invested heavily in the transfer market yet again. We've also made Swansea look like Barcelona under two different managers this season with Wayne Routledge more than playing his part in both matches. Another player surplus to requirements at W12 was Jason Puncheon who is on fire this season. As it stands, we need at least twenty points to stay up which equates to top six form for the rest of the season. Thats as many as we have amassed in our last 28 games. Loaves and fishes, wine and water come to mind. We all live in hope.
