Wycombe Following 16:53 - Mar 19 with 9810 viewsSimpkinsLeftPeg

According to the OS we are being housed in the Main Stand on Saturday. That can't be right?

Saturday afternoon, nine games to go, top of the league. I'd say there could be 4-500 there.

How many did we take in 09 when Alfie scored a late winner? Similar times of the season.

Dale fans being moved now apparently.

Ten minutes before kick off.

When will football clubs realise fans often get these things right?

At quarter to three, we were struggling to find two seats together and it was clear that the corner section was insufficient to cope, with several Daleys still streaming in, having watched the Arsenal match to completion.

I joined the queue to explain the folly to the only hi-vis object in the away end. God, he was an ugly bastard. His hair lip and general complexion made me think his face had once been on fire and a passer by had put it out with a golf shoe.

He mumbled that he was unable to make a decision, whilst some bint in the stand was exclaiming she knew Dale had told Wycombe we would only bring 120!!!!

Eventually, at ten to three, they moved the corden of blue wheelie bins prompting a mass exodus, with virtually every fan telling ugly bastard, "I told you so!"

They were told so days before the game; anyone who knows their football and thinks like a fan would have forecast exactly what happened.

120?! What a bizarre figure. We'd take that many if we were near the bottom.

I spoke to a steward about numbers he said Wycombe had got numbers from average away support this season

I don't see how it was "more cost effective" to have us in the main stand anyway. In the away stand there are no additional facilities like toilets or catering, you use the one in the corner of the main stand. And I doubt at 14:55 they called up extra stewards...

I was actually a little disapointed by our following ,however well done to the 379 for making the effort.
Weather was good and we got the result we deserved ,Matty done appears to be slipping under the radar with some very good performances ,i thought he was by far our most dangerous player yesterday .

The best decision they could have made was getting the decision right in the first place. By not doing so it meant they knew they'd have potential problems on the day. Why open yourself up to that?

They know what's out there.

When I was your age, I used to enjoy the odd game of tennis. Or was it golf?

Well whoever made that decision clearly knows nothing about the game.

The average away following includes games like Torquay on a Tuesday and early season trips to Plymouth and Oxford when the season hadn't even got going properly.

Fortunately they had the good sense to change our position at 2.45, but whoever made the decision in the first place has some questions to answer.

It's something worth debating with Fleetwood and Manfield coming up and the potential for chaos if the ticket and admission details aren't organised properly.

Well if we do there could be problems, especially if we don't get more than the 1131 spaces available for away fans at Fleetwood (as per ground guide).

Exactly why it needs better organisation than at Wycombe.
