I've been infected, again! Fcukin AdPunisher! I had it a couple of weeks ago and was able to get rid of it by downloading ADW Cleaner but doing the same again hasn't worked. When you Google how to get rid of it appears that even some of the "recomended" downloads to uninstall it bring their own spyware! Whats' the matter with these fcukin people?! What on earth are they hoping to achieve?!

So basically can anybody suggest the best and quickest way to get rid of this utter shÃt from my computer and if there's a way I can make it suffer at the same time, even better. I just want to download a reliable program that will get the job done A step by step by step guide with instructions for me to follow will be as useful as a SWP 91st minute substitution.

Help me punish the punisher...

download, install, update and run a scan - it should get rid of it, if not there is something else I can suggest but try that first.

Cheers Whisky, for the reply. I downloaded and installed malware, ran the scan and quarantined the 37 items that had been detected. Rebooted the PC and the BastárdAdPunisher is still punishing me!

Next suggestion?!

Run the first programme again.

Spybot Search and Destroy. Probably download similar it and similar programmes from cent.com. somtimes its where you download from that can cause the problem.

Thanks again, but, unfortunately, it's a nope again. Still being involuntarily punished!

It's only when I use Google Chrome and not when I use Mozilla or even Internet Explorer. Could it just require something as simple as uninstalling Google Chrome and then installing it again?!

Obviously if I can't get it resolved then I'll have to just use Mozilla....

Any additional advice or suggestions will be well received...

then use malwarebytes then ccleaner (all from file hippo)

then go to your settings in chrome and add an extension called adblock

Once you've installed adblock you should allow adverts on this site, as this is what funds this forum.

LFW is the only site I allow ads on my home PC, can't do the same at work.

in Chrome, click on the button on the top right, the three horizontal lines, and select Settings.

then in settings click on Extensions - IF it's listed there it may be as simple as clicking on the trash-can logo to delete it.
