We get a potentially good player on the cheap for a year who may just fit right in the side and convert a few more chances (we scored a lot but squandered more than our fair share of chances too).
He gets a chance to move up several levels and show he can still play, which could lead to a better deal either with us or somewhere else, depending on merit.
If he's a bust, we didn't bet the bank on him and that's that. Sayonara (or should that be beannacht)
I still think shipping goals is more of an issue for us to resolve than scoring them for us in the closed season. Addressing our defending will have the biggest influence on how we fare next season imho. |  |

Think its a "wait and see" we had high hopes for Muldoon but that was obviously a bad one.
Same with Brandy, with many a dale fan telling me I was wrong for saying he was a failure and broken toy...well unfortunately proven right. And TBH I dont like to be proven right...I am man enough to admit if I get a player wrong...unfortunately last seasons intake didnt impress, with only Dawson and loan of Logan of any real quality. But theres another season now , and we cant always sign good players every time. | | | |
