Who should be our January transfers targets? 13:19 - Nov 30 with 8661 viewshuwlittle

Let’s be honest here, we’re going to need a huge January window to help keep us up

Who do you think we should look to sign and what positions do we need to fill?

Too many players needed in too many positions, we simply haven't got the money or the inclination to put it right in January.... basically we're screwed

You might think I've forgotten, but one day, when you least expect it, my time will come.

Okay then, if I said we can fill 3 positions, which ones would you put as being the most important positions that we need to replace?

Number 10, number 10 and number 10.

And a right back who can cross the ball within a time span of less than half an hour.

Back five is largely fine, although we could do with more fullback cover. VDH and Bartley both decent deputies on this season's form so far. Naughton isn't great and Olsson isn't as good as last season, but they're both at least half competent.

Bony and Abraham should get a few goals with some decent service. Mesa and perm one of the other defensive midfielders should make an adequate midfield pairing.

What we're absolutely desperate for is a few players who can play off Bony, influence the game from the number 10 position and bring others into play. If there's any money left we should be going all out to bring in a number 10 and at least one half-decent winger.

I felt that Kyle didn’t do to bad yesterday but your spot on with the fact that he can’t cross the ball to save his life!

It amazes me still that they didnt bring in a no 10 in the summer.

Desperately need that player who has natural vision and capable of playing that killer pass or can do something special in a second..........these types of players can be lost for 80mins and win a game with one moment of magic.

Mesa and now a fully fit Bony can be like new signings from here on in. So if Bony and Abraham can get a decent partnership going we may see a big improvement going forward. On that basis I’d say we need to invest heavy on a number 10 and a right back with an extra creative winger/number 10 to go with that.

I think we can all agree that we need an attacking midfielder so let’s start listing names, my first pick would be Jonathan Viera as he is not only a terrific player but Mesa can also help him settle in as quickly as possible.

I like the idea of Bony and Abraham but who is going to supply them!?!

An attacking midfielder at the sort of level of Soufian Boufal or Manuel Lanzini would improve us no end imo.

You could give our recruitment team a £100 Million transfer kitty, and they'd still come back with a load of shyte.

If you send monkeys shopping you shouldn't be surprised if they come back with a bunch of Bananas.

Giving Jenkins more money to spend on transfers will make a bad situation worse

Lucas Lima is a tremendous player (and a set piece specialist)...I believed we had a chance when we were linked in the summer, not now though.

...and Arias too, his agent was courting us in the press.

WTF are they playing at down the Liberty!

Yep, most posters know the three positions that need strengthening most, but it will be almost impossible now to persuade decent players to come. The summer window was critical.

Messi, Ronaldo and Griezmann.

Even then it'll be touch and go whether we escape with our current tactics.

I can see it now. Come January, and it will be “Jenkins Time”
Time for us to buy 2 hasbeens, at £5m a pop.
And it will be 2 players he’s had his eye on ages, and both will be crap.
If the Yanks spend the £25m left over from the transfers, I’ll wear a Scumdiff City shirt, down the pub, for a year!

I think arias was on his last year of his contract so could get him for a tidy price in jan (though i read that on here so could be BUllocks)
So A winger, a RB and No.10
