If there's a slight word of caution, historically the bigger name signings don't always work out for us.
I genuinely can’t remember us signing a ‘big’ name in my time. Connor and Platt were slightly before me. The biggest I can think of are NML, Gary Dicker, CoG, Jason Kennedy, and all of those worked out pretty well. This is on another level though, this is a Football Manager signing!

I would argue that Stephen Dawson was also another "high profile" signing that worked out really well for us (before he pissed off )

Martin Hodge was a cracking signing.......

Daniel Bogdanovic looked like a world beater on his debut, then did bugger all after that. Didn't we also sign Brett Ormerod at the same time? Though he was very much in the dog days of his career and I'm not sure much was expected of him.

He's a strange one, not ready to give up on him just yet. As recently as a couple of seasons ago my Bristol City supporting mate would rave about him and how his fitness regime would put their younger lads to shame. I must admit I was chuffed when we signed him. Still, maybe his legs have suddenly gone or maybe he's just going through the motions? Maybe we just need to play him in the right system and it will click for him? Who knows.
