Yeah Lisa, living up there in “that London”.......

Shocking I agree, and how dare she be a woman.

I am going to start a petition to get her to move to Grays, less risk to Pembroke.

Well myself and two colleagues had antibody tests a week last weds and we all came back positive. The numbers being discussed in the media etc will probably all be shown to be completely inaccurate in the future.

That’s interesting banos. Did you all know you’d had it beforehand (did you have a positive antigen test before)?

First one I've had.

It's either when I was really ill in January, sore throat, high temp, waking up gasping, or I've had a mild version with few symptoms. One colleague had very bad chest, he recorded a video and his breathing sounded horrendous. The other colleague suffers from sinusitis and thought it was that, but he lost sense of taste and smell, so may have been coronavirus.

Wow. So three of you had never had a positive test and you’ve all obviously had it without really knowing before?

Did you have other colleagues who had the antibody test and were negative who’d thought they may have had it?

How come you have had an antibody test now?

This was part of a University of Birmingham study, testing university hospitals Birmingham staff who had self isolated (I was told to stay off for two weeks as I was training the boy with the bad chest and some of the training involves aerosol generating procedures).

They're now extending this to all staff, so will know more in a couple of weeks.

Was a blood test and a saliva test (spit in to a tube for 4 mins).

Lisa, the "billing address in England" comment was pretty obvious to understand.
People who own second homes here ordering food from their main residence in England.
They thought they were being so clever but they have been rumbled.
I'm glad to say Dyfed Powys Police have escorted many out of Pembs.

Oh yeah, 31 new cases yesterday in Carmarthenshire, biggest increase in a while...... hopefully they are not locals eh?

Dockyard, I was reading Walesonline eatler and you’ll be pleased to know that not nay were Dyfed Powys Police escorting people out of Pembs, it looks like they were booking them as well, over a thousand tickets for breaching lockdown rules issued.

As someon3 who lives in Carmarthenshire and has a number of family members shielding, 8 applaud the efforts of the local cops.

A senior South Wales doctor of many years experience working in admissions whom just happened to feel less than 100%, thought sudden appearance of minor symptoms was also sinusitis, and was not fearful and very confident of a negative Covid-19 test result.

Self isolation was introduced with immediate effect. Any doubts ='s self isolate ASAP.

The Covid-19 test that followed shortly after confirmed (positive) Covid-19. The symptoms displayed were extremely mild i.e. loss of taste and smell. IMO a lot more people have indeed been infected and failed to realise so. Mass testing amongst the general public should provide extremely interesting data for ongoing and future scientific/epidemiological study, analysis and statistics.

Argus!

Thanks for posting the information on the survey and for telling us about your experience. This is a really interesting bit of research, it will be interesting to see the results and to find out how many people have actually had it, how many of those who had foresight or were told to self isolate and how many of those who were completely asymptomatic.

We are a family of 4 and I am convinced some of us have had it, but will have to wait for the tests to be rolled out.

After travelling back from Malta, over the course of the next 2 days I developed a tingling/stinging sensation in my nostrils and then a sore throat which lasted a few days. I drank lots of hot drinks and just put it down to seasonal stuff. Just over a week after returning, I had a very very slight cough, a few aches, sense of taste didn’t feel right, a kind of stinging /burning (but not indigestion) sensation in my wind pipe and when I went for a walk I had a slight shortness of breath, but as I didn’t have the classic symptoms I couldn’t get the test. Wife had a few aches, felt tired and run down and I insisted she self isolate for 2 weeks. One of the kids hasn’t been ill at all while the youngest , who was 16 and asthmatic complained of having a bad chest, feeling tired and being short of breath. By now I’d acquired a pulse oximeter and his oxygen levels were fluctuating between 91 and 94 occasionally peaking at 96, I phoned the doctor, went through it all and she didn’t seem overly concerned - I was! After 4 or 5 days junior perked up and started to feel better.

It transpires that between flying home and me feeling a little groggy, one of the wife’s chums who she’d spent time with actually had Covid19. I can’t categorically prove we have had it, but what convinced me I have was listening to a consultant from the Royal Gwent Hospital being interviewed and describing his symptoms when he was taken ill, it all started with the tingling sensation in the nose!

I suspect we picked it up on the return trip from holiday as the time lines are too tight for Er indoors friend, but you never know.

Glad to hear you were ok and thanks again for sharing your experience.

Personally, I think if by some sort of magic, the powers that be eventually got thier act together, and rolled out a national testing policy, we would be absolutely gobsmacked by how many of us have had C-19 and not even realised.

Perhaps one day soon (hopefully) we will find out 🙏

Please don't rely on an amazon bought pulse oximeter.

They're a very simple piece of tech, but efficacy varies by +/- 3% in the cheaper ones, plus you need to be able to identify variables such as poor peripheral circulation, raynaud's etc.

96 is absolutely brilliant. 91-94 fine, but concerning.
In the 80's, get a dr involved (if it's a fit, young person). 88-91% is perfectly normal in a patient on oxygen therapy

He’s consistently lacking in imagination. Tidy footballer and a steady Eddie but very frustrating to watch him do the same thing over and over again, especially with throw ins, ie wait until all of our players are marked, have a look up the pitch and pretend to think about throwing it up there and then turn and throw it back to Van der Hoof or Rodon for them to launch it back to the opposition. Just save yourself 5-10 mins per game Kyle by cutting out the fannying around and just throw it backwards like everyone knows you’re going to do anyway. 👍

Thanks - I hadn’t recalled that you were a medical professional. That makes sense.

I imagine the exposure rate amongst medical staff will be shown to have been very widespread. Which in some ways will be heartening of course as it will indicate that rates of severe outcomes will be lower than first imagined even in those with exposure to a high viral load.

Glad you recovered despite your underlying risk factors - thats also heartening. I know that they don’t as yet know what level of immunity you ma6 have and for how long but it must make you feel a bit safer.
