Now Sheff Weds sack their Manager 19:46 - Jun 19 with 2068 viewsSalisburySaint

Some strange goings on at other clubs

Darren Moore gets Sheff Weds promoted, and then gets the sack

Darren Moore has left by mutual consent but it's more likely he has an offer from a bigger club, reportedly Leeds. I wish we could get him. He has a tremendous career win rate of 48.6%.

That will see Leeds promoted next season.

A lot on here wouldn’t want Darren Moore at the club, because…wait for it…. He’s a devout Christian!

I wholly disapprove of what you say and will defend to the death your right to say it.

Isn’t that win ratio pretty much wholly in League 1 though?

Not a great record for Moore, as you say mostly in League One

So even in the lower leagues winning near enough every other game is not great Nick ?

Perhaps you need reminding that we’ve just had three managers that could only win two home games between them all last season ?

Winning in League One is not winning in the premier league though is it, Nathan Jones had a great record at Luton Town in League One and in the Championship, but he couldnt cut it at Stoke in the Championship nor at Saints in the Premier League

So perhaps i should remind you that of those 3 managers, 1 had a great record at keeping us in mid table in the Premier League, 1 had a great record in League 1 and the other had no experience anywhere

Drop the mid table bull, he achieved that once. Ralph would have taken us down so move on.

Isn’t Darren Moore ex Pompey so no thanks but a decent record last season

What Bull, he had three full seasons, 11th and 15th twice, maybe he would have taken us down, but we would have gone down with more fight that Jones or Selles gave us

15th is not mid table, unless of course you count 6th as midtable?

His win rate at West Brom in the Premier League and Championship was 47.9%.
Russell Martin's win rate in the Championship is 36.36% and in League One 37..5%.

I'd take any one of the top 4 in the betting for the Leeds job - Farke, Moore, Potter or Corberan - in preference to Martin, and if we hang on until Leeds pick one of them, we could get one of the others.

Keep up please, haven't you heard, winning doesn't matter so long as you have 75% possession.

If it turns out that Potter is genuinely available to Championship clubs, I will be spitting blood.

Great move by Sheff Wed to sack him though Nick, yes?

They are learning from us and saving money by not having a manager during the designated window for holidays and finger twiddling.
