Both came on as a sub with 10 minutes to go yesterday, both covered roughly the same distance
Alcaraz stats were
Fouls won 1 Passes 7 Pass accuracy 100% Tackles 1 Tackles won 100%
Dibling didn't appear to actually touch the ball let alone pass it or make a tackle, in the bit I saw he seemed lost, wasn't sure where to be or what to do.
I think that he has the ability to be a top player, but he is struggling at Everton, the pressure is on him there, ( No disrespect to Everton here)he would have been better staying at Southampton or going to a Premier League club where he would get more game time and have time to develop.
A few year ago he left Saints for Chelsea and returned realising it wasn't right for him, he put career development before money, when he left Saints for the second time he put money before career development.
Again no disrespect to Everton , they paid a lot of money for potential, but Dibling hasn't got the mental strength yet, to make it at the top or to be playing in a team where the pressure is on to perform.
Its a bit late now, but I think the best thing for him would be to go out on loan to either a Premier League club where the pressure is not so big, dare I say Bournemouth, Brentford or Sunderland, or a Championship club.
He is a player who needs to be nurtured and his confidence built, 10 minutes or so at Everton is not going to do that, you can see he is drained.
If he was loaned out he might get his mojo back and Everton might just start to get value for money next season as he starts to realise his potential.
I know what Solent Toffee has said about buying potential, but Everton don't spend £40 million to buy potential, thats the case for most clubs in the Premier League, you are paying that much money to get someone who can make a contribution, you pay £15-20 million for potential and not potential in two years time.
Sadly im a few years ahead of you, I think my first 45's were Jeepster by T Rex, Take Me Bak Ome by Slade and bizarrely Meet me on the corner by Lindisfarne.
First albums would be some of the following
Electric Warrior & The Slider by T Rex, Slade Alive & Slayed by Slade also Never a Dull Moment by Rod Stewart
Danny Wallace should be on any list of our greatest players, but not the other two, Rodney was pretty good but bailed out after only a couple of seasons as a first team regular
January was the best month on this site in terms of visitors and page hits, since January 2018, that 8 years ago and was a very controversial time as it saw the departure of Virgil Van Djyk.
Hopefully this trend will continue, so could I ask you all to like and share this site on social media Facebook etc.
Once again thanks to you all I can't believe that this year the online Ugly Inside will have been going 26 years and overall April will see the 38th anniversary of the first paper copy coming out
Exactly, its about winning, however Stoke played poorly because we got the ball and used it well, they played into our hands and we handled them in the main easily.
We played well and because of that Stoke didn't get going and didn't, even Mark Robins admitted that after the match.
Sometimes you just have to bask in the enjoyment of winning a game and winning it well and not look for negatives
Usual issues including the referee failing to see at least 3 penalty calls, 2 in the same move, he was spoilt for choice, two nailed on penalties in one incident didnt see either
"He was supposed to be starting, he was training yesterday and got a knock in training, so we had to take him off. He'd had a good training week until yesterday afternoon."
It seems folly not to have one of them at least on the bench, however as Butty says it is probably just about our strongest team and we do have options off the bench .
Can Nick Oyekunle be the latest prodigy, according to the Echo he is likely to get 30 minutes of so as Stewart can't go much past the hour mark.
If our youngster comes on and get the winner he will achieve legend status as big as Dom Ballard and no matchday thread will be complete without someone moaning that Nick Oyekunle isnt in the team.
I dont think it is a fire sale, recent whispers are suggesting Armstrong is part of the player power problem and not the solution, although in fairness he always seems to give 100%.
Archer has never had a real run of games here so I think they would want rid of him.
If it is a fire sale, could anyone really blame Solak, he has been slagged off almost from day one, if he said "stuff you" and sold off what he would and recouped some of his outlay, who could blame him
They were also the first punk band to split up and then the first to reform, they are still going , many line up changes over the years the only constant member being Dave Vanian, at the moment they have 3 of the original 4 in the band
