Think it's more that we look like 'only' losing 1 parachute payment club in Ipswich (if at all) and the teams coming down are going to be absolutely stacked. Still, Vale and Morgan centre mid should sort that out |

There's 12 games left. Play him and see if he gets better. Address it in the summer after moving on Nardi and Hamer. You need to sell one of Cooper or Walsh though, can't have them both as development options |

Not sure what we do with him now. He's likely got 2/3 years left on a decent wedge of money. Certainly one that hasn't worked |

Does feel like next season you will have a stronger division with the following teams having sorted themselves out Saints, Norwich, Sheff U. Plus only one of Ipswich, Wrexham or Birmingham likely to go up. The teams coming down will be hurling money around to go straight up Wolves, Burnley, WHam/Forest/Spurs. So that's 8 teams already looking strong for next season. As for us and this season, I think it will be successful if we keep avoiding long losing streaks and streaks with no wins. Plus stay bobbing around 10th - 14th. After the next 2 home games there's 5 very winnable home games to come (Pompey, Watford, Bristol, Swans, Derby) so every chance we finish the season alright. I do think the building blocks are there now. Dunne, Edwards, Madsen, Chair, Burrell, Kone is certainly enough to be cracking on with! |

You want Ronnie Edwards you have to free up money somewhere else. |

The manager isn't the issue. He's done fine this season. The issue is that an already run ragged group of players are expected to put in high level performances days apart with lots of travel in the middle. You also have to question, once again, the squad building. Ronnie Edwards came in so Morrison and Field had to go out. We haven't been able to rest or replace Madsen at all and now he's likely out for the season. Bad injuries and big spending means the squad is unbalanced as we look to keep an even keel. Didn't expect a win last night, but the capitulation was unacceptable. But that's on more than just the manager |

The results against the bottom teams have been really poor this season and will be what potentially keeps us from having a really decent season (8-12th) to a deeply average one (16th) |

I think the accounts aren't stunning but aren't a bin fire. But really it all hinges on selling someone this summer. I do think we likely should've cashed in on Varane last summer when around £5m was being dangled in front of our noses. It's a BIG summer for how the club moves forward. Sell Varane, buy 3 players and make a profit then it's great. But if we don't then we are heading towards issues again |
 | Forum Reply | Next season’s squad at 14:05 16 Feb 2026
The squad needs full backs and central midfielders plus a GK. We also need to be loaning out the fringe players who aren't at the level yet. Adamson, Esquardinha, Morgan, Bennie. Squad for next season should be GK - Walsh, Cooper, New GK RB - Mbengue, New RB LB - Larkeche, New LB CB - Dunne, Edwards, JCS, Morrison CM - Madsen, Hayden, New CM, New CM (I'm assuming Varane gets sold) AM - Chair, Poku, Dembele, Smyth, Saito, Kolli, Vale ST - Kone, Burrell, Obikwa I reckon that's 4 signings with the midfield one's and left back being key |

If we didn't already have a thousand 5 foot 5 wingers/no 10's I'd be all over it. Would absolutely tear the division apart. Was a wonderful player who has been spat out by Chelsea after not really doing much wrong for them |

FWIW my mate is an agent who brought a few players to QPR this summer (I can't really go into more detail than that, hope you all understand). He says his clients all absolutely love it here and there's a great atmosphere at the club. Much more positive than it ever has been before when he's had players at QPR. I asked him about Nourry and he certainly wasn't dismissive of him. Said he absolutely loves data. His overall impression was of a good club being run well. He's not the guy bringing all these Aussies over!! Just thought I'd slightly dispell the myth of 'evil agents' as he's a good guy |
 | Forum Reply | Dembélé new boo boy? at 08:56 21 Jan 2026
Rancid last night. Type of game he should be relishing. Sht opposition, tired players and acres of space. Should've been running the thing, instead he was atrocious and did next to nothing after a bright opening 10 minutes |
 | Forum Reply | Dembélé new boo boy? at 09:46 20 Jan 2026
I think he's a 'boo boy' because when he first came he seemed like an absolute star. However since his first few games he's really flattered to deceive. Still ended last season with 3 goals and 4 assists from 23 games which is OK I suppose, but this season it's 1 goal and 0 assists from 24 games which is pretty poor for a winger. I imagine he was seen as the replacement for Chair, but Illy looks like he will be staying here for a while now so one does question where Dembele fits in? I think he's best as an impact sub when the game is more open, but that seems a waste. His level is probably top of League 1. |

I think Saturday is going to be a massacre. Likely lose at Oxford and maybe 1 point from the two home games. Literally no bodies .................Walsh........... Morgan.....Dunne...Edwards...RND Bennie.....Hayden....Madsen...Smyth ..............Kone....Kolli............... Some of those kids that played v Plymouth may be getting a run out, as may Emmerson Sutton! |
 | Forum Reply | threadbare squad at 09:47 12 Jan 2026
I think it's important not to chuck money around unnecessarily. If the right player is available at the right price then do it. What we don't need to do is bring in Jeff Hendrick and Dion Sanderson again! Still need to look at the squad as a whole. It's better and healthier for the club to use Kolli and Bennie as strikers as opposed to loaning in someone from Chelsea for the sake of it. Likelihood is it will be as rocky few weeks/month with 2 away games and 2 tough home games. Keep building sensibly. This season looks like it will be an improvement on last season. The only place I'd look to spend any money is in central midfield as I'm worried we might break Madsen!! |
 | Forum Reply | West hams ground.... at 08:23 12 Jan 2026
We did Westfield first and the walk to the ground was OK. It was the trudge after the game that was awful. Just nothing there. You'd think put some pubs near the ground to give people the option of stopping for a drink before they go home, instead it's a cattle march to the station. I couldn't do that every week, was soul destroying. We were in the middle of the upper tier and struggled to see what the hell was going on down the other end! Great view for Kone's goal though |
 | Forum Reply | Ronnie Edwards at 17:27 8 Jan 2026
It's a hefty chunk of change when we already have the club captain, highest paid player at club (Cook), highly paid player (JCS), development project (Morrison), promising teen (Smith) who all play in the same position. I suppose Cook goes in the summer and the decision has been made that JCS simply cannot be relied upon. This is his 4th season with us now and he's been playing and injury free consistently for one of them. Still leaves us with Dunne, Edwards, Morrison, JCS and Smith... which is very very strong (and costing the club a fair wedge) |
 | Forum Reply | Burrel out until March at 14:03 8 Jan 2026
Injuries happen and you can get unlucky for sure. But feels like we've contributed to this ourselves with a shocking pitch and mismanagement of Christmas which meant we couldn't rotate in our 'easiest' game of the season. If you want to be negative then Burrell missing 10-15 games until March and Poku missing 5-10 is really really bad news. If you want to be positive then Ilias Chair should be back in 3 or so games along with JCS. I don't think the sky is falling in as we have cover for Varane, Morrison, Poku and JCS. But I'm also worried that we don't really have anyone who can do what Burrell can do and will be asking a lot of Kolli and Bennie. I'd still be focusing on a 'passing' midfielder to ease the burden on Madsen who will end up going the same way if we aren't careful. |
