I can see now why West Ham fans don't like it and still yearn for the Boleyn. |
 | Forum Reply | Who Knew Walsh Was So Good? at 19:29 13 Jan 2026
Some early wobbles aside, Walsh was impressive. I liked that he learned his lesson and adjusted his tactics on corners. The QPR defenders also started offering him more protection which in turn enabled him to make punches. I'm still not convinced about his ability with his feet but he needs matches to improve. |

Overall Jimmy had an excellent game, second only to Walsh. However, he was at fault for both goals. On both occasions he tried to pinch the ball and got rolled. Whether some folk like it or not, them are the facts. That's not to dilute Jimmy's performance. Rather it highlights 2 things. Firstly, we could do with a few more Jimmy Dunne types in the team to lend him some help. Secondly, even struggling PL teams will exploit mistakes that you may get away with in the Championship. |
 | Forum Reply | Morrison going out on loan at 19:09 13 Jan 2026
Morrison going out on loan makes sense for both player and club. The lad needs games to have an outside chance of breaking into the World Cup squad. The club has decent cover at CB and needs to recuperate some money after spending handsomely on Ronnie. As for Vale, I could've seen it a few weeks ago but with Chair, Poku and Saito now injured, we're suddenly a little thin in wide areas. Clearly, the club didn't sign enough midget number 10s! |
 | Forum Reply | Sell Jon Varane ? at 18:11 12 Jan 2026
I considered that angle until I read "If his name was Smith, Jones or Field, do think he would not get much criticism at all." That laid bare the true nature of the comment. Besides, there is no evidence to support the notion that QPR fans are holding Jonathon to a higher standard because his brother was a top footballer. Jude and Jobe are full brothers and are playing in the same era. Raphael is retired and Jonathon is his half-brother. The simple truth of the matter is Jonathon is an average footballer. If anyone is offering £5-6 million for his services, QPR should bite their hand off. |
 | Forum Reply | Sell Jon Varane ? at 16:07 12 Jan 2026
"Maybe Varane gets so much stick on this forum because of his name. Sure Jobe Bellingham could offer some nuggets of help to overcome such a situation." His first name, Jonathon, is very common in England. His surname, Varane, has Germanic and Slavic roots. "If his name was Smith, Jones or Field, do think he would not get much criticism at all." Sam Field gets a lot of criticism so that's that theory blown to SMITHereens. "Just a thought of mine....." A nonsense thought. Stop race baiting. |

Overall I thought we were ok but feel like it was an opportunity missed, particularly after we equalised. I think West Ham were there for the taking but once it went to extra time there was only going to be one winner. Fans were excellent, as always. [Post edited 11 Jan 18:07]

In the land of the blind, the one eyed man is king. Varane is average to middling. He's made to look better than he really is by the paucity of options we have in central midfield. The cold reality is that £5-6 million is good money for a player with limited ability who is unlikely to play at a higher level or command a bigger fee. Moreover, there's no guarantee Varane will extend his contract in future so you risk ultimately losing the player for nothing. What I would say is that if he is to be sold it must be permanent. I'm uncomfortable with the idea of a loan with a view to buy because of the risk of injury during the loan spell. |

A miracle that he managed to score 46. Given his wicket away just before lunch. A complete and utter lack of discipline that may well change the complexion of this match. |
 | Forum Reply | Kolli at 02:05 5 Jan 2026
WLS awarded Kolli the highest player rating with an 8. https://www.westlondonsport.co Here's hoping for many more poor performances from Rayan in a QPR shirt in future. |

At first glance I read that as "Maybe one day I'll punish them all mate. Predictably me flogging that one has provoked another this afternoon." If only... |
 | Forum Reply | January transfer rumours at 22:04 2 Jan 2026
That's not my understanding. I read that Cifuentes sacrificed some salary at Leicester to help cover half of QPR's compensation fee. That would suggest that our contract was still very much in force when the move to Leicester was negotiated and explains the rationale behind placing him on gardening leave. |
 | Forum Reply | Frey on the move? at 21:51 2 Jan 2026
Whilst I agree that Frey was never built for speed he was more agile last season, if a little injury prone. This season he appears to have lost any athleticism and looks very awkward on the pitch. The footballing equivalent of dad dancing. One thing I can't question, however, is his attitude so for his sake and ours, I hope he secures a decent permanent move in the January transfer window. |

Blackburn have on-going, severe drainage and waterlogging issues. It's so bad that their manager, Valerien Ismael, has offered to sacrifice transfer funds for a new surface! |

It's been a bugbear of mine for a wee while. With so many wide options there really is no need to play inverted wingers. Get to the by-line and deliver. |

Tall poppy syndrome. If I were you, I'd view these messages as a sign that you're doing something right. Difficult I know but such hate campaigns are usually driven by envy. |

And I wonder whether that's now playing on the player's minds. Rather than re-start on the front foot, they tend to try and keep it tight, something we're not particularly adept at doing. |
 | Forum Thread | Frey on the move? at 13:40 2 Jan 2026
Having recently signed a new contract in September, reports are now emerging linking Michael Frey with a move in the January transfer window. https://www.westlondonsport.co If true, I can't say I'm surprised as he's looked particularly immobile this season and is behind Kone, Burrell and Kolli in the pecking order. |
