Or a bad back |

He's s standing beside Bennie in the interview after the Hull game and looks 2-3 inches taller, no more. Bennie is apparently 181cm, or 5ft 11.5 I think in old money. |

That formation is fair enough, I'm just not sure I've seen signs of him going 3 at the back. I think moving Edwards into midfield is the most solid option overall, with Cook or (hold your ribs) Clarke-Salter back in beside Dunne. Edwards seemed to be getting a bit of practice in the other night, after the game was long gone of course. He was much further forward and getting lots of touches like Madsen would've been. Things are getting laughably threadbare but I think that could work as a sticking plaster for now. |

How old does that look? Scary stuff. Has got me nostalgically wondering when the club first started doing the online commentary. Season after that one maybe? |

How many new contract triggers has he got? Who negotiated this, Paladini? And when are we going to get our bi-annual 35 minutes out of Clarke Salter? Need to factor that in. Lovely passer of the ball, touch of an angel really. |

I see a lot of certainty on here. Maybe it's just me but I don't feel ready to say he's a terrible keeper. He had a terrible night, no doubt about that, but he'd been playing well in recent games, and I liked his efforts at quicker distribution in the last 2 or 3 games, thought that was also improving. So many other players looked lethargic, not tracking runners, not blocking shots or crosses, not winning headers, not able to pass to a team mate. They started off ok (apart from the first which looked like Madsen should have done more to block) and after 30 mins they're done. Walsh's errors were obviously fatal but I think they were the difference between probably a 2-0 loss and what it was. I see the conditioning as a far bigger issue in terms of being able to at least compete with energy regardless of who you're up against, and avoiding losing most of your starting 11 over the course of a season. He needs to cough in his buck like everybody else, autograph hunting is the number one occupation for non college female graduates in this country. [Post edited 23 Feb 17:09]

If we'd watched the highlights of that match last season, with Kone playing for another team, I'd say most of us would have thought "Fcuk me that's what we need, someone who can put away a chance". Which he did. Plenty more to come and he was running around in traction yesterday. |

It seems to also be uniting the Yanks, far more than usually happens these days anyway, in praising us. Plenty of versions of "The UK have arrested the King's brother and what have we done? Nothing!" I'm not hopeful anything will come out of it but it's still not going away. |
