| Forum Reply | Usyk VS Fury at 09:49 19 May 2024
What a classless piece of s**t Fury (and is Father) were before and after the fight. John Fury was an absolute disgrace leading up to the fight, head butting a young guy that was probably no more than 10 stones, who was part of Usyk party, just standing nearby. The 'Fury' family antics have probably alienated, a lot genuine fight fans after this fight. You only have look at the comments post fight on media streams, to see how many people from UK were actually pleased he lost. |
| Forum Reply | Looks as if Adams is on his way out to Wolves at 16:15 18 May 2024
Agree, Adams will not play at Wembley. If he is fit to play, it is a quite a dilemma for him, opportunities to play at Wembley do not come around that often, but will he want to risk his move away and big pay day ? Similarly, does RM play someone whose head is elsewhere ? |

Totally unnecessary for fans (mainly young kids from pictures I have seen) to run towards away fans. I thought the West Brom fans were a credit to their club and ones I met were gracious in defeat. Whilst a great win, the pitch invasion was a bit premature, given that we still have to win at Wembley. I think a few had had too many Smirnoff Ice's ( or Hooch - can you still get that ? ). ! | Forum Reply | David Brookes showed just how good he can be. at 15:46 18 May 2024
I like Brooks, and he had a good game last night. However, when he is on the bench and comes on he has put some good performances in. He then get's in the starting 11 for next game, and is anonymous. He is just not consistent enough, but I would like to see us keep him. |

Good to see nobody got ejected for banging on the advertising hoardings to encourage crowd like the young lads a few games back ! . |

Fantastic night, great performance and really proud. However, can't help feeling the pitch invasion was unnecessary and dampened what could have been an opportunity for players and fans to enjoy a worthy lap of honour. |
| Forum Reply | VAR Yes or No? at 19:32 16 May 2024
I would be happy to keep VAR providing it is only used for clear and obvious. If they are going to continue measuring shirt sleeves and whether a players laces are off side, then scrap it. A time limit , of say, 90 seconds should also be added to make a decision. if the team of people in the control room can't see an infringement in 90 seconds, and have to play the scene over and over multiple times, it is not 'clear and obvious'. |
| Forum Reply | Perhaps McCarthy isn’t so bad after all or is Bazunu just a poor goalkeeper? at 22:42 12 May 2024
McCarthy had a good game today, but I have not forgotten how bad he has been over the last 2-3 years, and how many times he was beaten at near post and from distance. Truth is, I don't rate either Bazunu or McCarthy, but pleased McCarthy did what he is paid to do, and kept us in the game. |

Just read Martin's post match interview. The poor lad says he is knackered. So am I, watching this tippy, tappy crap and constant tinkering with the team. [Post edited 27 Apr 18:45]

Dont forget the 3 shots on target ! Oh, hold on Stoke had 8 and McCarthy made 2 good saves with his legs, otherwise score would have been worse. Another awful limp, abject performance. I wonder if Martin instructed them to just stand still, p*ss around with it and create nothing as that is what it looked like. [Post edited 27 Apr 17:04]

Was Wilcox instrumental in bringing Martin in ? It's been a while and a few bottles of wine since last Summer when he was appointed, I can't remember. |

Spot on. I was thinking exactly the same. Brooks has been useless since Wales failed to qualify. |

Nick, I agree with your comments about McCarthy and how defence play with him in the sticks, but to say it is not about possession football I disagree with. We did clear ball a lot more, but still messed around with it in middle of park going side to side and back. We had 66% possession and not a single shot on target ? Adams didn't even have a touch in their penalty box ! How many time have we lost to teams who only have 30% possession, last night was not a one off, it has been brewing for months. Martins obsession with stats and possession has to change. |
| Forum Reply | Southampton At Leicester The Debacle at 06:56 24 Apr 2024
I am guessing Nick hasn't posted the 'Players' rating page up as there is no point ? Did anyone, really get more than 2/10 ? Not 1 player looked interested or was up for that game last night. The players and Management should all be ashamed and reimburse all those fans who went to the game. Fortunately, I couldn't get a ticket, which was a blessing. Martin's comments after the game just compounded my thoughts about this guys arrogance. He is taking us all for mugs, with his post match assessment. I can't recall being this hacked off about a manager since the Ian Branfoot days. Losing is fine, but show a but a character and effort. |

Martin is absolutely deluded. Comments like this are insulting to our intelligence and anyone who watched the game. That game is up there as one of the worst games I have seen. Players looked like they didn't have a clue, or even want to be there. I am only hoping that this causes some sort of reaction and players start speaking out and challenging this ineffective style of play Martin has forced on the team. |
| Forum Reply | Desperate Tories - or tactical masterstroke? at 12:44 23 Apr 2024
We have rules to enter our country legitimately and the Government has to do something about the illegal entries. Many of those entering are 'economic' migrants and not fleeing persecution. If they are genuine migrants, I hope their applications are dealt with promptly and fairly. If, as many of them claim, that they have been persecuted, and their lives were at risk, surely they would be happy to have reached a safe country like France, (or any other central European county they have travelled through ? ) Why would they then put their lives at risk again to cross the Channel from a safe country in an overloaded dingy ? To answer your question, I do think this is a last throw of the dice by the Tories to address immigration and sway some voters, as this is still a hot topic ahead of the general election. I can see the logic holding it near Manchester, but it comes down to capacity. Both sides will undoubtedly moan about their allocation of tickets, after corporates etc, so keeping it at Wembley makes sense, given that is has nearly 30k more capacity. Plus, most of the Man U supporters will be from Home Counties and not Manchester, so helps them with travel. |

As much as Saints frustrate the hell out of me at times, I could never place a bet on a team to beat us. [Post edited 20 Apr 17:14]

McCarthy looked really slow to react to their 2nd goal. Again from outside the box. How the hell did we not win this today ? |
