Refwatch - Halifax Town v Rochdale
at 09:02 25 Feb 2026

Looked very tired second half and got overrun a bit…

Yes we can go again…. And absolute worse case we get a chance to hopefully win 2 games one at home and one at Wembley for promotion.

Terrific season - still plenty more joyful moments to come.

In Dales AND York City’s hands…. A strange quirk.

Hopefully fire our way back to the top by next Wednesday morning.

Excellent win and Dale stay top of the National League.

Another team MOM performance difficult to pick one player out over the other 10.

Onto Halifax now.. on Tuesday.. this is just relentless...

York 3 successive away games - Scunthorpe / Morecambe / Boreham Wood.

Dale in comparison Halifax (A) Aldershot (A) Brackley Town (H).

only for his effort to be curled just wide.... Sadly more often than not..

There is a real player to be had in there.. the injury potential is a massive concern plus I just think he needs a good arm round the shoulder and some coaching in technique for keeping the ball on target.

If he clicks in the remaining games we will go very very close to this league title.

The shooting is woefully bad…. Either wide or blazed over the bar or recycled / passed back when ignoring runners.

We have gone top tonight despite our best efforts to fook it up!!

The reluctance to shoot has now manifested into not shooting from the penalty spot.. absolutely beggars belief.

The mood not helped with a shot shy performance but the stewarding is a disgrace.

People not allowed to use the toilets as the whole stand kettled into one corner (again)!

Stewards smirking at long standing Dale fans hiding behind his yellow jacketed mate and the totally unnecessary barrier.

I would urge any Dale fan to e mail the club in the morning how have we fallen so far in decency. This is the family stand FFS!!

If it carries on it could get nasty and the fault would lie entirely with whoever is making these stupid decisions.

Over the top and over thinking a problem that doesn't exist.

Not great.

The club need to do much better than this.

It’s still very much in Dales hands..

Two big consecutive home games on Tuesday and Saturday.

Need to ramp up the ruthless streak in front of goal.. 57 goals in 30 games for Dale.. an average of less than 2 goals a game makes the promotion task much more difficult.

Still unbeaten in 2026… the table could look a lot different again this time next week.

Great player like you say with power and pace.

If we can get the best out of him for the next 17 games we will take some stopping.

Could do with Devante hitting peak power between now and season end.

Great result...

Doubles over FGR / Carlisle and Boreham wood....

we might just need a single v York!!

Dan Moss take a bow.. terrific two games consecutive. Dale out presses Forest Green for our second goal.

Good side, possibly the best I have seen at Spotland this season.

Another special mention has to be the pitch.. what a difference.. There is zero chance that game would have been played if the work had not happened.

Plenty of end of season twists and turns to come and a big IF.. but two more wins would mean a minimum of a 5 point gap... and that game in hand.

The club is just connected / joined up / moving forward.. you can see the belief just oozing out of the players totally bought in.

Loving this.. lets see it through now.

I thought it was a bit less intrusive so happy if this is moving in a new common sense direction.

very quick wand and then allowed in..

No touching up which in 2026 beggars belief its allowed by strangers in the first place.

Gilmour 27 6/26
McBride 24 6/26
Barlow 26 6/26

The above 3 i would hope we extend... especially Gilmour and Barlow.

Pritchard 29 6/26 in a heartbeat another year if we can keep him playing and fit... i know there is no guarantee with any player..

Of the other 2 Burger is worth a discussion only Gomez can go as his fitness looks fragile.

Big game this on Thursday..

Should be a great game if FGR press and allow us to play around / behind them.

I quite like Savages positive spin on everything best team in the league now they will be every other play off contenders nightmare draw.

They are a good side.. with some big national league names in the squad.

Bring it on!!!!

The decision to close two thirds of the exits of the stand ranks as the daftest I think I have ever seen.

Who on earth dreamt that one up!! 100% agree they need a taking too / educating and hopefully replaced from any decision making role.

It absolutely beggars belief… they created what could have been a serious situation.
