EFL spending rules, primarily governed by the Salary Cost Management Protocol (SCMP) in Leagues One and Two, restrict player-related expenditure to a percentage of club turnover (60% in League One, 50% in League Two). These rules aim to control financial losses, with breaches leading to transfer embargoes. The English Football League +3 Key EFL Financial Rules (2025/26 Season) League One (SCMP): Clubs are restricted to spending a maximum of 60% of their turnover on player wages. League Two (SCMP): Clubs are restricted to spending a maximum of 50% of their turnover on player wages and management costs. Owner Investment Restrictions: Starting in 2025/26, only a portion of owner investment over £500,000 can be used for player wages, aligning with the 60% (League One) and 50% (League Two) limits. Transfer Embargoes: If a club violates these protocols, the EFL may impose a, preventing them from registering new players. Championship Rules: While specific rules are often updated, clubs generally operate under Profitability and Sustainability (P&S) rules, which monitor losses over a three-year period. The English Football League +5 Changes for 2025/26 The EFL has introduced tighter controls on how owner injections and extra football income (such as cup prize money) can be spent. For the 2025-26 season, EFL Championship clubs are governed by strict Profitability and Sustainability (P&S) rules, allowing maximum adjusted losses of £39 million over a rolling three-year period, often requiring secure owner funding. New rules require March, rather than annual, filings for pre-emptive action. The English Football League +2 Key 2025-26 Championship Spending Rules Loss Limit: Clubs can lose a maximum of £39 million over a three-year period (£13 million per season), provided the losses are covered by secure equity injections from owners. Adjustments: Allowable deductions (add-backs) include investment in infrastructure, women's football, and academies. Monitoring: Starting in 2025-26, all 24 clubs must file estimated P&S calculations in March, allowing the EFL to impose immediate restrictions (like business plans or mandatory player sales) if a breach is forecasted before the summer window. Penalties: Breaches often lead to transfer embargoes or points deductions. Inflation Adjustment: For the 2025-26 cycle, an additional £3.5 million (beyond the £39m) is allowed to account for inflation, effectively making it a £42.5 million limit. |

I thought one of our major problems was, we dont create enough good chances and so, dont score enough goals? Our wing play on either side is hardly brilliant but Ronald gets a lot more time on the pitch than Eom so gets a lot more of the ball i think. What he does with that isnt good enough. I would have to see derailed stats to be sure of that but Ronald certainly tackles better than he crosses. |

The difference was we made our chance, theirs was gifted to them. We do need Galbraith in midfield though. I'd like to see Kasey given a chance with Burgess. Cabango needs a rest. |

I stopped reading just after Josh Key part. I'm not in a pack hunting him but merely providing my opinion on him as a player. That opinion having formed over months of watching him. I won't be told who I can and cannot criticise. My opinion is merely MY opinion and my jam jar is MY jam jar. Yesterday could have been different, could have had a better outcome. Matos has work to do and, in my opinion, we need a new right back. |

This gas to fe the reason. It's still a mystery to me how we regressed so much from last season with a supposedly better squad. Maybe we need to cut them ALL some slack and see how Vitos does? |

Royal Mails peak for letters was around 2005. They're apparently 90% down on hat now. Overheads and infrastructure are vastly different to the 70's, heck even in the 90's it had changed massively and the current owner is busy moving smaller delivery offices into bigger buildings and selling off property. The TPO more or less stopped in 2004 an1d was switched to lorries. All train use stopped last year. |
