Thread | Light at the end of the tunnel!

Light at the end of the tunnel, I’ve just been on the above website which lists the players out of contract at the end of this season; thankfully we can get rid of loads of garbage. In fact out of the 20 players out of contract I wouldn’t lose any sleep if we didn’t keep any of them. But the only 2 players I would consider keeping are:-
Armand Traoré (Has pace and is still young)
Alejandro FaurlÃn (Don’t know if he will ever get back to his best, but always gave 100%)
Who would you keep?

I went to the game on Saturday and didn’t think it was all doomed and gloom, granted we do have at least 5-6 high profile players who won’t add anything to our fight to get back in the Prem.
The deadwood for me has to be
SWP no pace no skill, worse player on the pitch
Mbia no commitment
Zamora must have concrete in his boots because he never jumped for the ball at all.
Johnson another Darren Anderton an accident waiting to happen can’t see him lasting until Oct before getting injured.
Jenas produced absolutely nothing in the game and ran about like a headless chicken.
Ferdinand sorry but this guy is finished
Park needs a transfer back to Asia, Mr Ferguson stitched us up good and proper!
Young needs to go out on loan.
Boswanker, Barton and Taarabat weren’t on the teamsheet and I doubt if any of these will ever put on a QPR shirt again.
The positive points for me was Hoilett looked really good when he came on, Granero and Faurlin partnership in the midfield worked for me, we seem to play 100% better when they came together.
I thought I would mention Suk-young as he did okay as well.
I think if we get Crouch up front with Mackie (doing the donkey work), replace SWP on the wing, need someone to get passed the last defender and cross the ball SWP does none of these!
We need another decent central defender and a striker if we get rid of Zamora and Johnson then we should be okay.
Faurlin was my man of the match by a long way played the ball well and had two terrific shots from a freekick and the other from outside the box, great saves by their keeper.

Going to Peterborough tomorrow, I reckon the only joy I will get out of the game will be booing Boswanker and SWP!
Maybe they will get the hint and move on!
Before anybody moans I've paid alot of money this past year to watch those muppets and if they can't be bothered then I feel I have the right to boo them.

1st SWP, for me the worst signing the club made in the Prem, can't cross a ball, shoot or tackle and he still has 2yrs on his contract!
2nd Bosingwa, lots more talent than SWP, but his major problem is he can't be arsed.
3rd Ferdinand, above his level in the championship, can't wait to the end of the season when his contract is up! |

I know SWP still has another 2 years to go on his contract.
I must admit current squad doesn’t inspire me to go and get a season ticket!

I watched the game at the weekend and just feel that the Premiership has been a nightmare from day one when we got stuffed by Bolton at home.
Let's face it, since getting in the Prem we have brought in the worst manager ever to run the club (still paying for him) and numerous players most of which would be in my all time top 10 for the worst players to play for QPR.
AlsoI can't think of one of them being worth more now than when we purchased them!
I did say on this forum we should have bought in Kenny Jackett before we signed Harry and I still think it would have been a better option. I don't think Harry's purchases can be justified, we seem to go for big names who aren't team players or are past thier sell by date.
The only player we have purchased while we have been in the Prem who can hold his head up high and be proud of his achievements is Ryan Nelson and he cost £0.

My overpaid and mostly over aged useless squad for next season in the championship, because nobody will purchase any of them at the end of the season (the few decent players we have will leave). We could easily end up being a Portsmouth, can’t see this squad getting us promoted can you?

I believe the only way forward is to put the vast majority of the squad up for sale in the Jan window:
Cerny, Bothroyd, Cesar or Green, Ferdinand,Traore, Bosingwa, Park, SWP, Dyer, Granero, Zamora, Johnson (crocked, but always is!), Cisse and Young.
We might be able to get rid of at least two, I say two because I can't see any team wanting to pay their wages. Let's face SWP on a 4 year contract which is the biggest joke going if he earns £50k a week his wage bill is over £10million!.
I feel sorry for Harry because all these muppets are on long contracts and I feel we will struggle in the Championship. I've said it before we will go down, its the long term damage which worries me. |

I can't believe SWP has a 4yr contract, he must be the worst player we have signed since coming back into the Prem. When we are relegated at the end of this season, we still have another 2yrs of watching this so called player, earning mega money for no effort.
If he can't up his game in the Prem what's he going to be like in the Championship when we are playing teams like Barnsley.
Hate to think what are wage bill is like, lets face it we can't reduce it because no body will sign some of the muppets who are only here for the money.
If we are too far adrift come Jan, I would put the vast majority of the players up for sale.

I have been mocked before saying we should have only signed Harry until the end of the season, because we will go down with this squad.
Kenny Jackett should have been bought in at the end of season, great manager with a poor team and that's what we need because lets face it we are a poor team. |

This is my first message I have put on this forum, but I do read it daily, I have supported QPR for over 30 years and seem the highs and lows.
I must admit at this point in time this is one of the biggest lows, knowing we will get relegated, but that’s not the worst of it, it’s getting relegated with a team who lets face are only here for the money.
The problem is even if we put all the dross (Green, Traore, Ferdinand, Onuoha, Boswinga, Park, Wright useless Philips, Dyer (if fit!), Zamora, Barton, and Hulse ) up for sale in January who would want to buy them?
SWP is on a 4yr contract, I can’t think of a worst player we have ever bought on such a long and no doubt lucrative contract. With the muppets we purchased this summer I can only see us getting relegated
I wouldn’t sack Mark Hughes until summer so he will be known as the worst manager in a full season of the Premiership.
Next summer I would go back to our original 5 year plan and I would get Kenny Jackett in as manager, he has been excellent at Millwall and used to be Holloways side kick at QPR. We don’t need a big named expensive manager look at Norwich and WBA.
Harry Redknapp, will only spend more money, so the squad will get even bigger and he won’t be able to get us out of the pooh we are now in, and the club will end up in serious debt (Portsmouth).
You need someone who is willing to put his heart and soul into the club, as for the dross of players I would still put them ALL up for sale in Jan window, as they wouldn’t even come up to the Championship standard.
Take off the rose tinted glasses people we will get relegated, but hopefully with a lot less dross than we have now!
