He only played 1536 minutes for us & most of that was made up with just a few minutes from the bench late in the game.
The point I was making on previous post was that with Fellows & Scienze playing he' would have had decent balls into the box he would have been a handful for Championship defences.
He was also a big unit to use as a target man capable of holding the ball up we just don't have anyone like that in the team.
That is exactly the sort of player we are missing & we'll probably go & waste money on some unknown striker for the future not rhe present. |

That Turkish Pub lge is probably similar level as Championship & he's scoring for fun in that lge.
I wasn't saying he was good enough for Premier lge but he was a good fit for Championship particularly if he had Fellows & Scienze providing decent crosses for him.
For sure he'd have been better than Downes or Archer. |

We did the same to Paul Onuacho.
He was never really given a chance, he would have been a revelation in Championship
If we'd kept him & Janny B we'd have solved two of our problem positions. |

I don't think Woods is good enough & THB just ain't as good as he thinks he is.
I think that THB is one of our biggest problems.
Seems to want to do everyone else's job instead of concentrating on doing his own job properly. [Post edited 8 Jan 20:53]

If getting stuffed 4-0 when giving g 100% I dread to think what will happen when we don't give 100%.
He's not called Slack Jack for nothing, it's because he doesn't convince us fans that he's giving his all, he's slow, he's pedestrian & is only comfortable when they are playing walking football,, he would be happy if the ball never went into oppositions half.
He's not the only one, we've got too many of them.
Slack Jack has also come out & said that he fully support Tonda, well you would say that if you wanted to suck up to the Manager / Coach. |

"Just write off this season" players already have.
With just a couple of exceptions (Scienze & Fellows) the rest of the squad already have written off this season.
They are perfectly happy picking extorioate salaries going thru the motions in Championship. |

Shea is decent.
Anyone that watched him play for his country against the Germans would say that he's a very competent midfielder.
He was Man Of the Match against the Germans & that's says that he's half decent. |

Slack Jack is rumoured to be the best leader of men at the club.
That doesn't say a lot about the rest of them.
Also Adam Armstrong spouting off again about the teams lack of effort, he is Captain when Slack Jack s not playing.
Its the Captains job to motivate & make sure his team mates put in a shift.
Adam Armstrong is no more a leader than Kier Starmer. |

We're stuck with the one we've got.
As is with the squad of player we have, We're stuck with them.
Same with owners, We're stuck with them.
Taking all this into consideration, nothing is going to change,

Bit unfair to say that both Edwards & Charles are shadows of what they were.
Charles was probably one of our best players until his injury.
Edwards has not really been given a run in the side & when he has played he's been played out of his best position.
But I totally agree that some of the senior players have created a lazy culture that needs sorting. [Post edited 5 Jan 22:05]

Makes you wonder who actually selects the team each week.
I'm convinced our coach whoever it is is told what players to use & also told which ones not to use.
Hence Ronnie Edwards not being involved, the club intend to sell him so he's no longer available for selection.
Must be so frustrating for a coach. |

Ronnie Edwards has not been seen for weeks, not been on bench over Xmas Period.
Has he upset someone at the club or has a deal been done for him to move on in this transfer window so the club are making sure that he doesn't get injured. |

You're missing the point Grumps.
Tonda took the job knowing that he'd get sacked at some stage & be paid for the rest of his contract..
I've said it so many times that because players & coaches have such good long contracts the incentive is to fail, they know that when they are sacked ( & they will be at some stage) that they'll be paid for the full period of their contract.
I know some will say that their Pride will make perform, I don't accept that, I think most pro footballers & coaches are to shallow & mercenary for that.
I don't blame Tonda for taking the job, the blame lies solely with Sports Republic for appointing him. [Post edited 4 Jan 18:47]

I'd have taken Antonio 5 years ago but def not now.
Too risky considering his age & his accident.
We're already playing walking football, don't want a veterans team as well. |
