What does Yalcoue need to do to get some starts?
at 12:54 26 Feb 2026

With 5 subs, it's about more than 11 these days. I enjoyed the Watford away game when we brought on Yalcoure, Nunes and Galbraith after a tiring and attritional hour or so. When you are tired the last thing you need from the opposition is clever players who don't give you a kick.

Fewer applications, more given asylum, more refused, more processed, numbers reviewed?

Preston North End and that Cullen header
at 14:30 25 Feb 2026

That prompted me to read it!

I'd say very poor first half, most worrying was that Matos did not anticipate the restrictive percentage play that is Heckingbottom's hallmark.

Second half......Matos gets it, we need good ball players especially Galbraith, Yalcoure and Nunes to retain possession and start to unpick their rigid tactics. Second half we looked twice the team Preston were.

If part of the solution is to use our most skilled players to out play teams, I'm in!

Heckingbottom has produced turgid percentage based football for years, I'd suggest that some artificial stimulants may prompt some imagination on his behalf!

Out tactics are fine if you want to slow everything down, we'd be better following Man City, nearest player picks it up and throws it in quickly.

Heckingbottom's teams play one way. We needed our best ball players on from the start, frustrating!

Awful first half, against a team that will play one way. Ball retention and skill are the key. Yalcoure needs to be on at half time for Walta who has not been aggressive enough.

The attitude of this government is that businesses are a tax opportunity, rather than an opportunity to grow the economy and increase the size of the income generating private sector.
