Five-star Saints whitewash wretched Rangers – Report
at 13:30 26 Feb 2026

I am in a minority in that I’m happy with what Nourry has done so far. Not all good but generally happy. BUT, the points on fitness and injuries are bang on. The players are unfit, the best players are run into the ground and then get injured, the number of injuries to key players is ridiculous. We cannot afford this for all kinds of reasons that have been mentioned.

As a fanbase we are unbelievably patient and reasonable, for the most part, all we want is for the club to say: “Yep, we got that wrong. The fitness of the players was poor. The injury record was shocking. We are building a plan and will make changes so that we do things differently next season.”

I am not saying “sack X and Y” either, who the hell knows. That’s Nourry’s job to get the right people in. But for the love of God, just admit it’s a huge problem and that you are doing something about it.

Yeah agree. Were agreeing far too much these days 😂

In the 0-0s, I didn’t think we were “that” solid and this was against Oxford and Charlton. 2 very poor sides. They both had good chances to win it. Our creativity was non existent. And then in the Southampton game, we were open and created nothing.

I don’t think we can “have a go” against Southampton. But we certainly can against Oxford and Charlton. Corners are also a major issue but to be fair, they weren’t that great under Marti. I think the keeper should maybe just charge out and punch the thing as far as he can.

Agree. Away form has been terrible since…Swansea…though I thought we were lucky there. I just don’t think we have a plan or rather it’s the same plan that doesn’t work. My other concern is that our home form is also declining. And the Madsen injury is a killer to any hope of a good end to the season….and I’m not even talking playoffs!

I would like to know what discussions happen about the “fit” players. Obviously those that are injured or coming back are a different discussion. But for those that are classified as “fit” and ready to “start”, 1) are their meetings on the “fitness” or “fatigue” of these players? 2) if not, why not. And if so, who is present for these meetings. And if they have these meetings, has no one ever mentioned “Burrell/Madsen have played every minute since 1940s, I think they need either a game or 2 break or remember to sub them after 70 mins” or “Poku/Chair, just back from troublesome injury, best to play 2 in 3 and sub them early”. Are their conversations like this? If not I think it’s absolutely ridiculous and heads need to roll. If they are, is JS involved, I imagine he must be and is he just ignoring them?

They do have better players. That’s why it’s right to question the way the manager has set them up….again.

Morgan looks like he’s got worse. And Vale in central midfield? Not sure he can do that. Will leave Hayden and Varane for me. Not going to be pretty but better than the other options.

If they wanted to “sack it off”, maybe they should have rested Kone,Dunne and Madsen. We can’t even sack a game off properly.

Barry Davies:
“Here’s Maradona again … he has Burrachaga to his left, and Valdano to his left … he doesn’t … he won’t need any of them … OH! … you have to say that’s magnificent.”

Gary weaver:
“"Maradona again, driving forward, he's got options either side… but no! He's not using them! He's going it ALONE! OH WHAT A GOAL! He has STORMED the castle! He has planted his FLAG at the top of the citadel and said — THIS IS MINE! Diego Maradona has just CHANGED LIVES here in Mexico City! That is a moment that will live FOREVER — the walls have been breached, the gates have been torn down, and Maradona stands on top of it ALL!"

Will Chair be back to his injury free best?
at 23:07 22 Feb 2026

I don’t see why he can’t get back to that. He is only 28. He was in great form before his injury. What annoyed me was that prior to the injury he played pretty much every minute since he was brought back into the starting eleven after his previous injury. Whether that is Williams, Stephan or more likely a bit of both, seemed pretty foolish. I think we’ve got a few players in Chair, Poku, JCS that we need to be careful with. Don’t start all 3 games in a 3 game week for example, and maybe sub them before the 90 is up. After a few months of that, getting games in their legs, then maybe they can do 3 game weeks.

This season Vs last - progression

Let’s take each game at a time and then assess at the end of the season. The next 6 games look very tough.

😂😂😂 “castles and citadels” love it. Yes, he is a f.ucking idiot. I’ve no idea why he gets a lot of big games. I thought he was pretty insulting revelling in Sheffield Wednesday’s relegation. I mean, they knew this was coming but relegation is still feels bloody awful as we know all too well.

Gary Weaver is such an idiot. I’m not massive fan of Wednesday but he’s practically ejaculating at their relegation.

Fantastic result. And very pleased for Bennie. I should learn to stop overreacting. I still can’t stop thinking about that Wrexham game though…..we’d be 6th!

Wot! No Randy Andy Pandy thread yet
at 09:32 21 Feb 2026

I’m not sure why people have concerns about this thread. The ones that go “bad” are normally both sensitive topics that drives strong emotions BUT there’s people on both sides of argument. Then it descends into heated arguments, then gets personal and some saying “shut the f.uck up” and so on! Even some who’ve posted above! But on this “topic”, I hardly think we’re going to have anyone saying: “nothing to see here, Andrew is a top lad and he’s been treated terribly.”

Daylight fading, or speculate to accumulate? – 24/25 Accounts
at 22:57 20 Feb 2026

I couldn’t see that. There’s 1.8m cash and then there’s 2.2m of amounts due (note 13), so that’s 4m. But it doesn’t say what players this all relates too. But I do know this can’t be any contingent amounts on player sales.

I don’t know if it’s just Dykes and Armstrong but aren’t “sales” in the year 240k movement in assets plus gain of 2,260 = 2,501k. That would be cash plus deferred. But for me it cannot include any contingencies as surely they would need to be met to realize the gain?
