Not on all counts but enough to go inside. Good. Never liked him. Not even back in the day. Felt there was something odd about him (almost as though his over exuberant self-proclaiming sexual conquests was a case of hiding in plain sight) and not surprised when all this came out.
I was on a rape trial many, many years ago and they are incredibly difficult to get a guilty verdict from so there must have been some very substantial details/evidence in this case.
In the case of the one I was on both sides account of the situation were equally plausible. After a week of each side putting their case across, witness statements etc it boiled down to one word against the other as to whether it was consensual or not.
We were told that in order to give a guilty verdict it had to be proved with evidence that it was rape. There was no evidence at all to be able to do this so a not-guilty verdict was given. Not because he didn't do it, but because it couldn't be proven beyond all doubt he did.
It was an incredibly difficult situation as if you get it wrong you could be sending someone down for 8 years who is innocent or letting someone free who is guilty. [Post edited 5 Nov 16:47]

RIP Ted.
I never met him but felt I knew him. His love of QPR, football and his family knew no bounds.
In an era when social media has produced and given an audience to some truly awful people, he was one of the goods guys who helped keep faith that it can be a good place, at times. Down to earth and no nonsense.
He will be missed. |

I do the weekly shop every Saturday so Iâm actually stocking up for 7 days, not three. Will be interesting to see what itâs like today at the shop.
Is he using the storms as a mask to hide a more concerning issue? |

Just seen on the news today that Barclays are cutting 5000 jobs as they increase the use of AI.
I had a conversation a few months ago with one of our senior people who was espousing how wonderful it was and how he uses it to construct certain emails etc. and I said to him that the more we use it, the more likely we are signing our own P45.
I said to him I see so many adverts (on Facebook mainly) about how "this AI program can improve your job and make your day less stressful" blah blah blah.
Well, apart from admitting to your bosses that you're cutting corners, technology has shown over the decades/centuries that businesses have no interest in making your working day more pleasant, if technology makes it easier for employees then they don't need as many employees.
People need to wake up. |

It's been an evil in the game for decades. Blackburn were bank-rolled to success by their wealthy owner and everyone cried 'foul'.
So, what do we do... let it be a free-for-all where a clubs success is based on how much money their owner is willing to spend whilst it completely distorts reasonable competition and player transfer fees & salaries or do we try and find a level playing field.
Most people I think were for the latter but it's clearly been something quite difficult to actually carry out as people will just find a way to bend the rules, legitimately or otherwise. |

I was lucky to be there too and in the upper tier not far from the black netting. One minute weâre getting slit throat gestures then a minute later they wanted to hug us.
Where I was sitting there were mixed messages, some people âhearingâ Bolton got a last minute penalty.
Iâm glad we didnât need a point to survive as could not see us getting out alive! |

Clickbait/ragebait sites on Facebook now stirring schit that the Man City V QPR game should be investigated and it's all full of Man U fans frothing at the mouth but forgetting (conveniently) that losing at WIgan (Wigan ffs) a few weeks earlier, losing themselves at Man City a few weeks earlier, and twice losing at 2 goal lead at home to Everton to end up drawing the game cost them the title.
Just a better result in any one of those three games and they'd have won the title yet apparently it's all a conspiracy in that Man City v QPR game, a game where City battered us for 90 mins.
If, and it's sill a big if IMO, QPR did take their foot of the gas once they heard about the Stoke/Bolton game... so what. They don't owe anything to City or Utd, their responsibility is to QPR and the fans and once safety was secured they probably didn't give a schit about the game then. |

I was at Twickers for the ladies rugby and now watching another great game (on TV).
England done really well to overturn an early set back but itâs such an open game either team could win it. How football should be. No parking the bus. No slowing the game down to a snails pace just two teams wanting to win. [Post edited 26 Sep 20:34]
