‘Kin hate Sky and their vendetta against match going supporters. Had to feel a bit for the WRPAFC supporters when all their away matches are a proper trek away and the 12:30 ko makes it worse. I’m hoping to make the DW mate, which is why I’m up at this even ungodlier hour than normal. (‘Kin Sky). |

Re the SW fan’s comment about the equaliser, he clearly wasn’t at LR last season when they scored off Steve Cook’s clearance, bouncing off the Wednesday player who was completely unaware. |

We kept those jokers up last season by giving them 6 points, and the way they celebrated in the Loft End as if they had just beaten Barcelona by displaying the most scintillating football hitherto unseen (not), still really rankles. They owe us big time. 2:2 it is then. [Post edited 14 Sep 7:45]

Not too bothered - if they’re wanting to pay him, why wouldn’t he? You’re a long time retired. What annoys me is that on the bbc sports day round up, they referred to him as the former Chelsea and Bournemouth goalkeeper and making it sound as if he hadn’t been playing for ages. No mention of Rangers and the fact that he played 40 plus games for us last season!! Football really is only Premier League for some. |

Cheers for that, enjoyed it, particularly your description of the madness that can possess Jack Colback on an uncomfortably frequent number of occasions. Best of luck for the season except against us. |

Another regular listener of the podcast who has never met him but feels acquainted. Thank you Paul for the podcast and all you do for it. As he himself might say “Now go and beat this f€cking thing!”, and get better soon! |

This. How many managers have the Spuds had whilst Arteta has been in charge at Arsenal? At least the Gooners have been within a shout of the league. Spuds have as much chance of winning the Premier League as we do. |

I can’t remember if it was the case that Martì was in place to take over from Warbs until Beale hoodwinked the board and fans with his powerpoint (I def fell for it) - I stand to be corrected, but I sometimes wonder what could have been, had Martì taken over then. However, even through the dourness of Critchley where it simply didn’t click, and the desperate straw clutching of a well-meaning but ultimately doomed Ainsworth, leaving us when he did, was the best thing Beale did for us. Because now we have (great Scot!) Martì. Yes we were a gnat’s hair’s breadth away from relegation at the end of the last two seasons, but we survived. And even in the second half of last season, as precarious as it was until the Leeds match, he didn’t half give us a good few matches to really shout about. Now we have a quiet optimism to at the very least compete, consolidate and entertain. I’ll take that. I’m glad Beale left when he did, and ultimately getting Martì, made the ensuing pain and the wait bearable. I want to say let’s move on from Beale, but part of me is also enjoying the schadenfreude. |

Really excited by both of these signings - trying really hard not to, but I am!! Particularly excited about Saito, having Japanese heritage myself. Not that it was beyond the realms of possibility, but it never crossed my mind that we’d ever actually sign a Japanese player, let alone one with virtually the same name as the Japanese part of my family. Wasn’t thinking of getting a top this season, but at risk of looking like a tourist, I am now!! ガンバレ斉藤君!! |

Watching that clip, as a QPR supporter, how can you not love the guy? His scoring record speaks for itself, his positive impact on the team in both sets of circumstances, cannot be underestimated. Playing most of our playoff promotion season with a dodgy shoulder, and as was mentioned above, getting 18 goals in the Prem with a relegated side, what exactly is in question? One of the best pure strikers to ever put on the hoops. Even second time round, when his pace such as it was, was less, his instinct never left him. He had his lows like any other, but never really questioned his commitment. Q: Do you support QPR? CA: Do I support them? It’s more than that. Says it all really. Rs through and through as far as I’m concerned. |

12:30pm Saturday ko’s are proper s#!t tho. At least a 5/5:30pm gives time to get to the match and enjoy more of a pre match build up. Lunchtime ko’s just scupper the routine and causes unnecessary timing stress. Proper pain in the rs for us long distance devotees. |

Here’s a thought - how about taking both the 2nd and 3rd kits, mashing them together to make a black and gold hooped kit? I’m not technically savvy enough to do a mockup of it on here, but I’m sure someone out there might be. In my mind it looks good!! |

A true legend of the sport and also as a man. Truly inspirational. Another gone way too soon, and in such a cruel manner, but despite all that, still achieved so much. RIP RB#7. |

It looks like he’s going for a hat trick of Championship relegations he’ll have had a direct hand in. Yes, it is a fair point that both Derby and Brum were/are in a mess as a club, but to under achieve with the level of players he will have at his disposal is surely very worrying for the Plymouth faithful. |

“I go to my fathers in whose mighty company I shall not now feel ashamed." RIP Bernard Hill. I was a bit young to properly appreciate him in Boys from the Black Stuff, but to me gave a great portrayal of King Theoden in the LotR films. |
