Of course we could.
I lumped on at 40-1 a few months ago,as I felt with some consistency,and luck re injuries - for once,and with the wind blowing in the right direction,we could maybe make a play-off position and then it’s a coin toss - The Zamora goal at Wembley,totally against the run of play.
I’m 63 and I want us back competing in the top flight - go up,grab the wedge, don’t spend silly and if/when we come straight down,we’ve already planned for the next onslaught for a sustainable effort.
The question is,would the current owners want to hang around or would they have had enough ? |

Some good thoughts.
What I was trying to say is, if our Mr Stats weighed up the costs of getting some players in , that could get / keep us in the playoff area and then let’s face it, it’s a lottery. With the costs measured against what we have gotten in from Eze if we failed in our attempt and what we could potentially get in for someone like Burrell at the end of the Season IF he keeps banging them in and someone Will if he does,why not do it now, if the money we’d get even if went up and straight down,would dwarf these numbers and put us in a healthy financial position for a more sustainable attempt the Season after ?
Apologies to all for my longwindedness, but I’m currently recovering in Hospital from an operation and have barely slept since Friday. |
