That's an achievement, terrific effort. |

No, you're right of course Wessex, it'll not change my attitude to support for my club either. I've embraced the likelihood of relegation for two years because frankly we are a poor side declining annually. Naturally, it's not what I want but if it happens we have good management in place and may be able to provide some uplift for the fanbase. But I see the reality of our situation as well as the far more acute world situations alongside it and whatever happens tomorrow will be ok by me. But a win to raise some spirits - if not those in Sutton - wouldn't go amiss!! Stay Up our U's! |

What a lot of selfless work goes into giving us all a bit of amusement for 38 weeks of our year! Thank you Mick! Truly wonderful organisation week after week and so very much appreciated, thank you so! |

I'm surprised and pleased that we're in with a decent shout at avoiding relegation. I was never convinced it could be done in the four months this management has had. I take nothing for granted at this stage - nor any other - but I think the clear degree of difficulty extricating Colchester United from the deep pit it's inhabited for years is now evident given the accepted fact that we now have higher quality management in place. As someone once said to me about a different (health) malaise, " if it's taken a long time coming it'll take a long time going". The U's decline and fall would challenge anyone and there's clearly no easy quick fix. It's facile to assume that. If we escape I hope anybody doubting the management will recognise the situation and be as grateful as I to remain in the football league. I see quite clearly that in a results driven arena we don't really deserve to. Fingers crossed that the players perform this week. The loyal supporters deserve nothing else. Stay Up the U's |

Absolutely right Blackcat. The players have a professional responsibility and need to recognize how that plays out. Respect for management and supporters is an element too Thanks for all your encouragement tis no fun being a U's fan these last three or four years .... and many would say "longer"!! |

Splendid once again Durham, thank you. Wouldn't such a result be nice! I wonder if given their seeming loyalty towards him, Akinde may feature. Otherwise you're doubtless right with the team. I hope the crowd gives Parky a deserved ovation too. Up the U's and we'll beat Stockport!! |
