I'm a big fan of this tactic as it really annoys me when teams bring everyone back to defend corners. Invariably if the ball gets cleared the opponents have another chance to launch it into the box with their big men still up and keep the pressure on. I think it suits us well as we invariably have a least two small players (perm any 2 from Chair, Smyth, Dembele, Saito & Poku) on the pitch at any time. They offer very little defensively at corners but could be a real threat on the break. I think two left up is sufficient and means the penalty box is less congested for defending the corner, but all credit to Stephan for really going for it yesterday with three left up front. It worked well and long may it continue. |

I've seen all my top three countless times, but if they were re-released in the cinema tomorrow I'd be first in the queue to see them. 1. Local Hero 2. The Outlaw Josey Wales 3. The Long Good Friday |

Thrilling finish and fantastic header from the keeper. |

Two high quality reports on the last two dreadful matches. Your efforts are very much appreciated. |

The 'head-it-and-kick-it centre back performance for the ages from Jimmy Dunne' reminded me so much of the one by his countryman and namesake Richard in the Play-Off Final. Great to have him leading the team by example. |

Great defensive header by Dunne. [Post edited 17 Jan 16:48]

Fantastic save. Bearing in mind the match time, it probably ensured them an extra two points, which could make all the difference at the end of the season. |
 | Forum Reply | Ronnie returns, but is it the handsome deal QPR hope? – Signing at 22:06 9 Jan 2026
Thanks for the well balanced analysis of the deal. A big chunk of our available funds spent on an area which would not be one of our priorities. However his versatility and potential could be a big plus and my initial reaction is positive. Welcome and good luck Ronnie. |

Even worse. Not just different rules for different teams/grounds but different rules for different rounds. |

For the past couple of seasons Alan sat near me in the East Paddock wheelchair user section up until he recently went into hospital. He always had a friendly hello for fellow fans in that section. He will be missed. RIP Alan. |

Good player in his day who had a difficult act to follow, Jimmy Greaves. Met him about 7 years ago when I was in a hospitality suite at the new Spurs Stadium. Came across as a nice guy. RIP Martin. |

Another vote for Glen Hoddle. I remember a match on the plastic pitch in 1986 where Spurs beat us 5-2 (Clive Allen scored 2 for them) and Hoddle was outstanding. Always seemed to play well against us even in his later years as a sweeper for Swindon. [Post edited 5 Jan 11:26]
