Club have now confirmed who is away and what games their countries play
"An abundance of R's are away on international duty during the extended break.
Kealey Adamson could make his Socceroos bow after receiving his first senior Australia call-up.
The R’s full-back – who has represented his nation at youth level – is Down Under for a double-header with Brazil.
Adamson and co’s first friendly takes place in Townsville before meeting the five-time World Cup winners again in Brisbane four days later.
Left-back Dennis Cirkin is also in line for a debut.
The defender has been picked for Latvia’s Nations League games against Armenia (A), Cyprus (H), Montenegro (H) and Cyprus (A).
Rumarn Burrell re-joins the Jamaica fold after missing their World Cup play-off defeat through injury late last season.
The Reggae Boyz begin their Nations League campaign with four fixtures over the break. Home outings against Guatemala and Honduras are followed by trips to El Salvador and Honduras.
Jonathan Varane’s Martinique are amongst the teams in Jamaica’s group.
Varane and co travel to El Salvador and Suriname before hosting Honduras and El Salvador.
Glen Kamara’s fine form saw him recalled by Finland for the first time in a year.
The midfielder has been selected for Nations League openers against San Marino (A), Belarus (H), Albania (H) and Belarus (A).
R’s skipper Jimmy Dunne is in the Republic of Ireland’s ranks for their respective Nations League dates, while Harvey Vale has been withdrawn.
The Irish face Kosovo (A), Israel (H), Austria (H) and Israel (A) during the break.
’s pair Pierce Charles and Paul Smyth are away together with Northern Ireland.
The duo’s four Nations League fixtures come against Georgia (A), Hungary (H), Ukraine (A) and Georgia (H).
Elsewhere, 17-year-old Leon Scarlett is away with Wales Under-21s for the first time.
The R’s youngster – who made his full league debut on Saturday – faces Belgium (A) and Austria (H) in back-to-back Euro U21 qualifiers.
Finally, fellow 17-year-old Eddie Chadwick flies to Spain for a training camp with USA in preparation for the upcoming FIFA U17 World Cup in November." |

I think the language used wasn't just normal swear words as the younger lad seemed to be saying it was outdated language but don't know exactly. |

On 1, what we don't know is the exact reasoning in picking Scarlett from the start. Perhaps Smyth or Saito weren't considered fit enough to play the full 90 which also might explain why Saito didn't start once Vale pulled out? |

No doubt it was a painful collision but the fact that he didn't need to go off and showed no signs of any issues afterwards says to me that's all it was.
His teammates were so concerned that half a dozen of them were more interested with harrrassing the ref rather than checking on their team mate. [Post edited 20 Sep 12:39]

I think for several of the players, you almost have to give them a mark for each half. Kamara was probably a 4/5 for the first half but then a 7/8 for the 2nd, so overall a 6? Thought the WLS rating of 5 was a bit low overall.
On the game, thought we were a bit lethargic in the 1st half, gifted Preston 2 goals with some poor defending and seemed to run out of attacking ideas with too many players being static and not enough movement.
2nd half came out all guns blazing using the width of the pitch better and with much more movement from the attacking players in particular. We didn't look like we were the side with 10 men.
Also, the atmosphere in that 2nd half was fantastic.
As others have said, shades of Derby with Jamie M several years ago. |

I like the Nations League - much better than the old friendlies and gives the smaller teams more competitive fixtures against other teams of similar ranking/standard. |

I watched on a stream and you often don't see the off the ball stuff on there, but some of it was so blatant that you would have to be blind not to see it. Ref just ignored it as well as playing along with their time wasting. |

Not sure how our rotation proactively injured two more players. I think the rotation is the right thing to do especially given the recent injury issues with several of our players, but whatever approach you take, some injuries are inevitable. |

On the ref, just goes to show that they can make all these rule changes to stop players taking the p1ss but if the ref doesn't actually apply them, it makes no difference.
Should have been 9 or 10 minutes of stoppage time not 6.
Overall, Boro were the better team in the 1st half but think we played well enough in the 2nd to earn a point. Lankshear looks like an excellent buy for them but once he went off, they never looked like scoring (apart from the error by Mbengue giving the cheating barsteward Conway a chance). |
