I thought last season he had the footballing ability, the occasional pass, finding little pockets etc but far too infrequent and no physical presence to go with it. This season those same attributes are there way more consistently and he’s getting stuck in, winning headers and picking up the bits and pieces. I don’t know if that’s down to him as an individual or coaching but the improvement is obvious. |

I’m glad you’ve posted this. I’m in Q block and I winced when that was sung but from memory there was just one burst of it then fizzled out not to be heard again. I think I would have reacted if it had. I didn’t join in any of the Marti related chants, too much respect for what he did for us. |

The Murderers is a great pub, full of character and ales, 20 mins walk to the ground. If parking up south of the ground you have The Rose on Queens Rd/ City Rd good ale, lovely pizzas and also Freemason Arms top of Hall Rd/ Queens Rd. Friendly, nice decor, ales and pub grub. 15 min walk. If parking north of the ground coach and horses and The Jubilee are good all rounders. |

Both cracking places, real pubs, friendly. Murderers has sky/tnt, Coach and Horses doesn’t but is closer to the ground. They now have Encore in the ground for any Ale fans and great pies 👍🏻 |

Not only are there no trains from Liverpool St the roads up here are carnage at the moment. The A11 is down to one lane on approach to the A47 and the A47 is also one lane approaching the same junction, the locals are up in arms, gets more coverage than the football team! All I’m saying is plan ahead and leave plenty of time! |

I must be alone here but I thought we dominated the game! They didn’t have a single spell of pressure the entire game but scored 2 goals out of nothing. The first was a straight forward diagonal to the far post that should have been picked off and the second was just one of those thumpers that could go row x but went top corner! Other than those flashes, we were in charge but lacked the skill/ ruthlessness to exploit it. Went up a gear after the subs but crowded out. They have been top 3 all season and we matched them and more, |

I can’t quite work out if this thread is about players who we think as fans have played for us but haven’t [ keogh/ pollock or Evans/Ambrose or / Mimms/Davies] or players that have actually played for us but either us or they would rather forget! The list for the latter is waaaaaay too long to even consider listing! |

I’ve been on here ten years now yet haven’t posted anything for most of that time despite visiting everyday. However, I’ve decided to make the monumental effort on this occasion to join in the praise! Like others have said Clive, your match reports are an excellent read. Always a combination of analysis, information and humour which always makes for a very entertaining read. This has been even more valuable this year of all years.
I’ve seen you around the ground many times but have never said hello, next time, I’ll shake your hand, if we’re allowed! Thanks for all your hard work over the years. |
