In all seriousness, the warm-up I used to do before my weekly 8 a side match was more thorough than that.

Shameful .

Great post .

It's a ridiculous situation and one that has absolutely nothing to do with fairness. Basing what a club is allowed to spend on the club's income is intrinsically unfair and loads the dice in favour of the clubs which already enjoy a huge fanbase and a vast stadium. This state of affairs literally requires the smaller clubs to achieve more with less.

Were we ever to get promoted to the Prem, the first thing we would need to do would be to employ a Chief Alchemist .

Five-star Saints whitewash wretched Rangers – Report
at 23:17 26 Feb 2026

That game was a truly miserable watch, a case study in how not to play football. Gutless, brainless, half-hearted stuff, almost devoid of quality.

One moment they build our hopes up, the next they smash them into a million pieces. We seem to have turned a corner, then promptly fall into a ravine.

I feel for everyone who makes the effort to go to see us, as well as those like Northern who relive the trauma as they chronicle our woes. Yes, it could be much worse, we're not in a relegation scrap, at least not currently, but it is utterly exhausting seeing all the sporadic flashes in the pan as the club scratches around trying different coaches, players and approaches.

Our Latin motto really should be alia tamen luce falsa: Yet another false dawn.

Thanks, as ever, for the report.

Sigh....

Trouble is, knowing us, we'd get rid of Williams and replace him with the Oxford or Cambridge University rowing coach .

"Neither Cifuentes, Beale, Ainsworth, nor Stephan had any experience of coaching in the Champ, for instance".

I don't want him back and I know WWFC got relegated, but for the record, Ainsworth did manage Wycombe for a season in the Championship .

As for QPR, while I don't think we should accept or be content with mediocrity, given the P&S rules, it is going to take some doing to get promoted from this division. We just don't have the strength in depth and this is compounded by a serious and ongoing lack of fitness.

Lovely stuff .

More than anything else, we need a Head of Basics coach.

As a club, we seem to think they are beneath us and that there is a clever way to ignore them and somehow still prosper .

More faffing around at the back, Varane gives it away and we nearly concede again. The team with no brain.

Except that:
- Southampton haven't actually been that good.
- We look like even if the entire Soton team left the field, we still wouldn't score, in fact, we'd probably concede a sixth by slicing one into our own net.

Abject.

Corner to us. Time for a lap of honour to celebrate it!

The closing down up front by Kolli and Kone was very half-hearted. Groan.

Don't look at our "marking" for that corner if you are of a nervous disposition (which you surely must be if you're following our lot ).

Re Chair, on the Sky commentary, they just said - wait for it - that he had experienced a setback in his recovery.

Sigh .

We almost conceded one of the stupidest goals ever there, all due to pointless overplaying at the back .
