There’s plenty of data out there on estimated salaries and it’s fairly logical that if you were playing in the premiership previously those salaries mostly remain in place, even if you drop down a level as RND did. There’s also data on contract lengths too - whether or not you believe it is another matter but the people who publish the data, most likely also sell it to the clubs for analysis. That’s how they make money - data products. Back to RND’s wages, It’s not going to be huge compared with a current prem player but he’s going to be one of the highest paid in our team and that blocks two others on half the salary coming in. You could probably get two Paal(s) for the same wages as an example, hence why we look to other markets. As to who pays RND whilst he’s here, that’s down to another agreement between the clubs. The more they wanted to loan him, the more they contribute and vice versa. We were pretty desperate at the time, so we probably pay a considerable % I would expect that this is why the club was so pissy when Cook extended his contract under whatever option he had negotiated. It takes two parties to make an agreement, so I don’t blame Cook for doing that - after all, he probably wouldn’t have come to QPR if the extension clause hadn’t been in his contract or the salary wasn’t close to what he was earning previously because he won’t get that again elsewhere at his age. Fortunately for us, he’s mostly available, professional and performant - for his age. As for Richards, who knows who paid him but he would have got his salary under the contract terms. I expect we paid most of it give the size of club he went to. Contractually obliged to pay him unless otherwise agreed. |

Lower end when they’ve been paid similar, probably. Maybe there’s a split and we don’t pay 100% but there’s a few on 20k a week plus. Otherwise why would they come ? I don’t think it’s for showcasing their skills for the future if a three week game is too much. |

I’d be very happy to see him back in Midfield, doing what he was signed to do, more regularly. Alongside Hayden (or Morgan) and Madsen, there would be a good balance of skills in a 433. Now we may have lost Burrell and have some time to prepare for a local game - why not try it out in training and have Kolli start with Kone and one of the Ant Hill mob ? Smyth would get my vote for speed on the right, to give us the out all. Would be good to have a plan B for the next run of league games too. |

Agreed. Can we just find a left sided, version of MadBen please and sort that out instead of loaning. That would save us prem level wages every month and maybe they could play all week. |

Perhaps what we saw eventually from Kolli was similar to what others did against Leicester and this was a very clear message to the hierarchy, rather than the one sent to Marti. What’s the equivalent of drinking some Estrella on da Gram for others still at the club, especially when you have to stand behind Clive at away games…he’s a chair vandal FFS. I bet he’s been in the Blue Peter garden with Peronis too… Not that I care about the misdemeanours or messages - more the regular effort and proving the point, so we actually win more frequently. 3 points is a very good reward / please can we have it more often ? |

And the more he plays (for us), the more he’s potentially worth. More so than on loan. So, perhaps he wasn’t great at times today, but was he better than Kone for example - as he scored two goals and closed out the game for us ? Was there someone else that played much better than him today or didn’t make any mistakes ? I thought Field played well when he came on and did a good job breaking up play - but he didn’t score two goals. Burrell was better than previous games too but missed a sitter. So what has the player, Kolli, done to not play more minutes ? It’s complete and utter nonsense in my overly simplistic mind. [Post edited 4 Jan 16:49]

I guess we’ll find out against WHAM |

I’d be delighted to have more players that don’t play as well as they could but still score two well taken goals in games. I would have started him ahead of Burrell today and would have given him more minutes over Frey but I’m not a football expert by any stretch of the imagination. Perhaps we could have prevented Burrell being injured whilst doing so, as well as opening up other ways of playing, as you rightly suggest, Hunter. Little things make a big difference - what time would Kolli have had if Burrell wasn’t injured ? Another ten minutes at the end like the last run out. Feck me, the guy was in the feckin stands with the fans not long ago….that’s a disgrace when the alternative is Frey. Back to who is picking the team, the formation and the bench for that matter. He also wiped Bannan out for a while. |

If you weren’t such a dick sometimes, you wouldn’t get it thrown back at you so often. Maybe see that as a learning opportunity. Happy 2026 - in the meantime. |
