War of words over Schmeichel transfer

It's the most blatant example so far of Bate's attitude to Leeds. Some people are coming out with the old false confidence saying "oh well he wasn't that good look at the goals we conceded". The goals in the main were down to our midfield letting teams charge through at our beleagured defence and putting them under pressure all the time. Kaspar is as good as anyone in this division and to lose him to a smaller club who are showing more ambition is galling to say the least. What happens when Maxie and Snoddy get offers of Â£18k to Â£20k a week from some average PL club or ambitious CC outfit? Can we keep them? I don't see how.

I think it is clear now that the plan is to push on with the minimum spend possible on players and wages and I can see a big drop in crowds. Why scrimp to pay the ticket prices Bates wants to see shit on the pitch. How do you motivate players when they know they cannot get the wages from the club? The only hope is that they perform and get a transfer somewhere else.
