I'm not sure it's about standards in terms of work rate. I think it's more that we're carrying too many players who are not Championship standard. Of the 11 on the pitch at the end how many will still be playing at this level it higher in 2 or 3 years time. Walsh, Esquardina, Adamson, Bennie, most likely Morgan I highly doubt. The jury's out on Saito, Kone and Kolli. The only ones you'd say yes to are Dunne, Edwards and Mbengue (he has the physique just needs a bit more coaching.) We can't expect to win many games carrying so much dead wood. I'm sure they're all desperate to prove they're good enough but I don't think they will. |

The lack of any real quality coming through from the DS is a real problem. Trouble is we have no catchment area. All the best players are taken by Chelsea, Fulham, Palace, Spurs and Arsenal. A club like Southampton have a much larger catchment area. All we can do is pick up players like Vale, Morgan and JCS who have been released by prem clubs because they're either not physically strong enough or too injury prone. I don't see this changing. Buying players from Australia is not the answer. Pokus and Burrells and Kones are the way forward. We've just go to find a way to keep them fit though. |

There's a few players out there who have no business playing Championship football. Saito definitely one of those. All of the development squad boys look horribly out of their depth. I had hoped Morgan might step up but he looks pretty clueless. Please let's not sign any more Australians. They're rubbish. |

It was a good event. Well managed by John Lewis and club staff. Kids happy, especially to have met Mbengue. I asked Ronnie if he'd be back at CB on Saturday. He said he hoped so as he hasn't got the legs for right back. |

Much quieter than last year. To be fair last year we'd just beaten Derby 4-0. I imagine Saturday's horror show has kept quite a few away. |

Madsen not here. Hopefully he's at home resting so he's ready for Saturday. |

I lost my head and gave Bennie both barrels when he miscontroled the ball for the tenth time in a row. Basic standards you'd expect from a professional football were so far off for too many today. Vale tried taking a corner with the outside of his left foot and it didn't even go on the pitch. I'd given up by then otherwise I'd have jumped down from upper loft and strangled him. |

He's rubbish. Shouldn't even be on the bench but we've got no one else |

I'm furious. We looked unprepared and uninterested. Some of the players are not championship standard (Bennie and Saito especially). Cook was awful after some very good performances recently and Ronnie nowhere near the player we had on loan. Stephane needs to take some of the blame for sending them out there unprepared. The injuries have totally killed us. Fair play to Blackburn. They took their chances and then sat back and watched us f#ck up any attempt at turning things round. One silver lining is that the crowds at the player signing on Monday should be a lot smaller now and my kids still want to go. I won't be able to look Bennie in the eye though. |
