As has been said over and over again selling and reinvesting has to be the way forward not getting too attached to players. Not sure Brentford fans were always happy when Maupay, Benrama, Watkins, Toney and Mbeueno were sold and that’s just their forwards. Over £5m for a player who cost under one million and has been average at best this season is exactly the sort of deal we should be doing. |

Let’s face it, we are highly unlikely to be top six or bottom six. We are the mid table team most on here have wanted us to be for the last three seasons or so when we were scrabbling about the relegation zone. This means we are going to have some good wins and some crap losses. But this is a step forward from where we’ve been and hopefully a position from which we can keep getting better. |

One other Wardy thing that made me laugh. After the 5/6? Minute stoppage for the incident in the crowd Ward made Mbengue retake the game recommencing throw in again two yards away from where he threw it on. Really? after all that time he remembered the exact spot that the ball left the field. |

With the World Cup qualifying coming to an end it’ll be interesting to see what nations make it from a QPR point of view and the financial impact. In the last WC clubs were paid 10,950 USD per player per day while their countries are still taking part. Currently, Morocco, Ivory Coast, Japan and South Africa have qualified which means Chair, Kone, Koki and potentially Tylon? could make their squads. If NI, Smyth, Scotland Morrison? and Republic of Ireland, Jimmy Dunne get through they could all be potential earners for the club. Australia have also qualified but it’d be a long stretch for any of our players to make their squad.
I know there’s lots of if, but’s and maybe’s but worth keeping an eye on

Thread | Why Wednesday?

Any idea why we seem to be playing all our midweek games on a Wednesday? It was almost always Tuesday but this month they were both Wednesday and the same next month. Stephan doesn’t seem too keen because it seems that the team we play on the following Saturday has an extra day to prepare and he always mentions it in his pre match interview. Personally, Wednesdays are a pain in the arse for me as well, maybe why I’ve noticed it. |
