You can only sell the hotels and women's team once. Training ground next ? Unsurprisingly they have sold 9 players to Strasbourg this season alone, who also lost £70m last season. So between them they've lost £425m in one season. And here we are hoping we sell a player for £10m in the summer. Ffs. https://www.theguardian.com/fo |

There are an awful lot of posty things of Ben Williams with a big X covering his face. Even the youngsters have realised there is a serious problem. The worst thing is my son said 'I hope this team isn't the 'What if' team. All stay fit and we'd of been right in the mix. |

How, exactly, would you set the team up minus 5 or 6 attacking players? It's very easy for people on here to criticise and say JS is rubbish, but I have yet to read a single suggestion from anyone as to how he should be doing better. And I'd love anybody on here to name a single coach who is better, available and wants to join us. I imagine the list will be extremely short. |

To build lasting success you have to back the manager, give him the tools and time to do the job. With the injury crisis the club are not giving JS the tools. I hope they get it sorted for next season and then give him the time. I like JS. Stop the stupid injuries and this is a top 6 side with a couple of CMs. Change the coach, start again, rinse and repeat. You get nowhere. It's what this club has done for 30 years, the cycle has to be broken. As for Warnock, he left no lasting legacy and Warburton underachieved with the team at his disposal. |

Perhaps Will Steal had something to do with where they are in the league. They are top 4 on current form under the new manager. |

That is a separate question, and agree something is clearly wrong, to those coming on here and slagging off the coach and players yet again. Some of the comments are staggering when we consider how young and inexperienced this squad is. It wasn't a good 2nd half, but those players would have learnt more from that than DS football or winning 5-0. What I don't get is that some on here want the club to be better and financially stable, but go completely nuts when these sort of results happen, which is inevitable. Calm the f@ck down as it WILL happen again. |

A very young, injury ravaged squad losses heavily away against a newly relegated team with parachute payments. #Perspective. |

Yep. Sell your best player, then reinvest in 2 or 3 and start the cycle again. I'll be gutted if/when Madsen is sold as I think he is great to watch and the one player with that bit of real quality about him, but if we can then buy 3 CMs that can actually pass then I'll be equally delighted. If we could sell Madsen, Varane and Field this summer then that would be a good start. |

Without Sky would player transfer fees and wages be as high? Highly doubtful. Got to sell this summer, but everyone knew this and what we have wanted the club to do. It's the only way out of purgatory of the Championship. I reckon it'll be Madsen. £10 to £15m abroad. |

Eze was a once in a generation talent. Bright & Manning walked out on free transfers because the club dicked them about. Great planning. Nourry has been here 2 and a bit years and to get this club actually being near playoff contention this season is pretty impressive. Yes, we'll probably drop away now. But I'm going to ask everyone on here who slags him off this regardless. If we hadn't had the injuries where do you think we would be in the league right now? I'd say top 6 comfortably. |

Uh oh, you've only gone and spoken out against the greatest centre midfielder QPR have had in the past 30 years. Not that I rate either Varane or Hayden either as they're all cut from the same cloth. Totally agree with you, though. |
 | Forum Reply | Next season’s squad at 12:50 16 Feb 2026
3 of them preferably. That can actually pass, no Field, Varane, Hayden clones. |

Well JS has backed himself into a corner now. All those games gone where he could of brought Morgan & Kolli on to get them more minutes, and rest others have been wasted. He now needs these two, yet they have barely kicked a ball all season. |

We're at home against a struggling Blackburn, surely it was the game to put Ronnie to CB and get Mbengue back in at RB to support Bennie? JS seems to be going full negative Marti mode. At least put out your best players. |
 | Forum Reply | Blackburn Reflection at 14:41 15 Feb 2026
You can only hold the ball up if the out ball is an actual accurate pass/clearance. Too many times clearances are just hoofed aimlessly up the pitch with no thought about playing some one through or giving those up top an actual chance to bring the ball down. I don't understand that if you are going long, why would you not play Ronnie at CB? Why put your best passing CB at RB? Anyone? |
 | Forum Reply | Blackburn Reflection at 13:21 15 Feb 2026
There were big gaps all over the pitch that perhaps aren't evident on TV. There were a couple of times, before the first Blackburn goal, that they could of slipped the ball through between RND and Cook, but took the wrong option. Blackburn definitely targeted our left hand side. |
 | Forum Reply | The Season is Done at 11:48 15 Feb 2026
And drop Cook? But he can head and kick it. Why would you want to play a ball playing CB who can break the press and get us moving forward? I think it's a lack of bravery from JS to drop Cook. If he did Edwards would move inside and Mbengue could take RB again, adding more pace, power and hopefully controlled aggression. Bennie was hung out to dry yesterday. You can't start a 19yo and have the RB consistently 20 yards behind him offering zero support. At least Mbengue gets up and down, offering overlapping. Really poor from JS. He got everything wrong yesterday. |
