Tuesday Night was definitely a case of Quality over Quantity 💪 Excelent throughout, despite the atrocious 1st half. I like to think the "what the effin hell was that" ringing in their ears as they left the pitch at the end of the 1st half prompted the improved 2nd half 😂😉 |

Haha. I don't think many people would have even knew Dubai existed back then 😉 |

I am. Luckily one of my Northern mates is driving and offered me a lift there and back. Looking at the seating plan on OS it does look pretty sparse 🙄 Quality over quantity 😉 Hppe we are richly rewarded with a convincing win 🙏 |

Melia was thec1st player I recall being frquently slagged off. Wee Hughie Fisher also suffered, as did a bambi legged Channon in his very early days! Back to Jimmy, my favourite memory, was when he scored with a header in an evening mid week match on a very wet and muddy pitch, and for the rest of the match, had a perfect imprint of the ball on his bald head. I think it may have made the front cover of the next home game programme 😳 |
 | Forum Reply | Most iconic player you have seen play against Saints at 15:11 25 Nov 2025
I am old enough to have seen Best, Bobby Charlton and Dennis Law play several times against us in their prime. Best was a shadow of himself by the time he was at Fulham, and his sending off that day was a sad reflection of how far he had fallen. Funnily enough some of the most iconic players I've seen ended up playing for us eventually! Keegan, Bally and Shilton were head and shoulders above their peers, and when people ever talk about great goals, no matter who they support there is a very high chance Le God will be name checked Not so much just based on performances against us, Kenny Dalglish, Eric Cantona, Jurgen Klingsman, Drogba, De Bruyne and Sergio Aguero. |

I remember a game where Mourinho was boss and a switched on BallBoy quickly recycled the ball to a home player for a quick throw in which resulted in a goal on the break. Whilst the players celebrated The Special One walked down the touchline and High 5'd the ballboy and pretty sure a mentioned him in postmatch interview and thanked him for the assist 👍😂 |

It would be rude not to for me, with it being the shortest trip of the season from Leigh, 20 odd miles away. Still a bit of a ball ache to get to. Bus Whankery Leigh to Notlob. Train to Darwen for some quaffing of Fine Ales, and the more BWing for short journey to Ewood Park. I am on a 2 match unbeaten run, looking to make it 3 💪🍻⚽ |

Considering Tues was only our 4th win out of the last 48 league games played, our supporters capacity to endure pain and heartache seems to know no limits. Absolutely amazing support throughout, and the only blemish on it could be the amount of noise made throughout the games, not just sporadic but loud OWTS. I am certain that that will if improve if we actually had more to get excited about from the players on the pitch UTFS |

I watched, clapped, cheered and strolled around unchallenged at The Joie Arena as our boys let a 3-1 lead slip to a 3-3 draw against a City side with 2 of Emile Heskey sons who came on for the 1st X1 recently. Entertaining game, some promising youngsters. UTS |

Aribo gets about slowly, he tries to tackle and hassles with little end result 🙄 Long gone are his skill and ability on show in his first few appearances for us. I thought Smallbone did really well in his 15 min cameo, commentaters were drooling 😉 |

 | Forum Thread | Eastleigh at Halifax at 13:18 15 Sep 2025
Took advantage of a blank Saturday and popped over to Halifax to see Eastleigh, the town I was born in play, and tick off a new ground, albeit non league. Found an awesome Real Pub, The Victorian Beer Cafe, with 8 Cask Beers. !st one I had was Tripple F Brewery Bitter from Alton! 10 min stagger to ground, away section was not exactly rammed with officially 36 away fans. Of those, were us 3 Northern Saints (only me from Eastleigh) and 6 absolutely pissed up Huddersfield Fans who hate Halifax, and embraced all things Eastleigh, plus a few Eastleigh Lads, we were singing nonstop and 2 limbs, sore shins moments in 1st half with Eastleigh cruising 2 nil. 2nd half different story and from what I gather from some real Eastleigh Fans no big surprise, Super Kelvin Davis went all negative and inevitably conceded 2 late goals, so the 2-2 draw felt like a defeat! Brilliant day out, big thanks to the Huddersfield Lads for the entertainment too. There was way more excitement than what I saw on Itv on Sunday thats for sure. I thought I was going to finally going to see a Win at my 16th attempt since Wembley Play offs (14 Saints defeats and 1 U21 Play off final at Man City) but at least it ended a run of 15 straight defeats |
