Cavity Wall Insulation

Hi all,

has anyone had this done ? I've heard that on the negative side it can cause damp (the cavity is there for a reason) but the positives are a warmer house. We've had a couple of salesman come round trying to push this & apparently it's free as we have an older house. I am obviously suspicious as there has to be something in it for them (slice of a government grant I guess).

Any advice would be appreciated, it's a 1920's detached house if that helps.

Travel Advice - Dresden

Just had my wife's wing mirror kicked off for the the 3rd time in 6 years of living in portishead. This time i watched the little scrotes actually do it & i went outside to confront them (probably not wise but I can't control my rage at times). Scrotes all ran away so then my Mrs phones the police who will (apparently) come round tomorrow to take statements. What a fcking waste of time. This country is sh1t, I can go & have a lot of beer without feeling the urge to smash someone car up on my way home ! Cnts

What makes it worse is that i was quite loud during the confrontation but not one of my neighbours came out to back me up.
