Fabulous occasion.

Fans were superb.

All players put in a shift.

For me the difference was Summerville.

One of our better efforts in the cup. Shame we didn't get over the line but hope it gives a boost to several players to think they can compete with players at a higher level. And away from home too.

Well done lads....

Who Knew Walsh Was So Good?
at 21:19 11 Jan 2026

He probably kept the score respectable tbf. Some excellent shot stopping. Their corners were effective and he did reasonably well, apart from their first one. Great experience for him and hope it gives him a confidence boost.

Strange we have had three different goalkeepers in the last four games, with no goalie keeping their place due to form or injury. Weird.

Nardi had a decent game and was replaced.
Hamer had two adequate games and had his contract extended.
Walsh had a decent game and...

What is all this...

So many drop to their knees, raise their hands in praise of the almighty or after adding their name to the scoresheet spend time in quiet contemplation.

Didn't happen in the 70s and 80s, they would have got their knees wet in the dirty puddles !!!!

The bloke scored. Most of our players would not have done from that position.

And for me was also fine.

He is a centre forward and last time I looked the only play that counts for anything is goals scored.

Many strikers dont do anything but put the ball in the back of the net. Some are working their socks off but score four goals a season.

Ask yourself a question Lyndon Dykes / Sinclair Armstrong / Richard Kone ???

Harsh in the extreme, I would say....

He is still young. He is unconventional and difficult for defenders to contain. He has pace, heck of a shot, and an asset in defence also. With a run of games ahead of him, we will see how far he has come or not, as the case may be.

Does make these last few months were Michi Frey has been keeping Kolli out of the matchday squad as Frey has sadly limped across the pitch with little threat. Guess we will never truly know all the reasons for his non selection, but he still has to maintain form across a majority of games, which is what he has so far failed to do.

Hopefully this is a massive confidence booster without causing him to be overconfident.

Totally also one of our own - here as an 8 year old !!!!

Fourth Round Here We Come Match Thread
at 20:30 11 Jan 2026

I was very impressed by us today. Very much enjoyed the occasion, and great experience for some of our lads.

For me, two of our players came of age today. Both Kolli and Walsh had some special moments and for me , neither were overawed by the supposed quality we were facing today. Cook and Madsen both had decent games throughout also. Hayden also for me had a very decent showing. I was impressed and think with him covering Varanes absence for me he could be at least as good, sometimes better. But our clear MotM was captain fantastic Jimmy Dunne - incredible defensive effort. Talk about putting your body on the line. Brilliant.

Basically most other seasons, it would be round four here we come, but no real disappointment for me and an amazing showing from the real heroes - 9000 + Rangers fans. A very encouraging performance without the final reward but many plus points to look back on.

We are better than we once were. There's no doubting that...

Apparently according to reports 6000 extra Rangers fans in areas around the away end so that would make 15000 away fans and still over 4000 tickets on sale at West Ham box office.

Think we all know who will be heard the most !!!

But please can we not hear the song "3 nil on your big day out"

Sell Jon Varane ?
at 20:46 10 Jan 2026

Maybe Varane gets so much stick on this forum because of his name. Sure Jobe Bellingham could offer some nuggets of help to overcome such a situation.

If his name was Smith, Jones or Field, do think he would not get much criticism at all.

Just a thought of mine.....

Carrying on as Match Thread Op - "winners stays on", after good result but not so great performance against Sheff Weds.

Got a feeling, we will be heading for our usual defeat in the cup, and with four key players injured, am guessing it wont be a top team at all selected. And think West Ham will play a top side as a defeat here and i think Nuno loses his job.

Hopefully Mr Ronnie is at least in the squad also.

Regards the result, let us pray !!!

Sell Jon Varane ?
at 19:49 9 Jan 2026

Am truly not sure why this guy gets so much stick.

We got practically all good eggs in our squad now and have not seen any troublesome vibes from Varane. He does seem to want to play well for the team and has some qualities, for sure.

For me he has been decent and no real issues for me. Only problem, i do wish he would think about a forward pass as its very rare he tries this. Am sure such failings can be ironed out and i think it has worked fine with Madsen.

i do believe some fans will always have one boo boy and i think Varane is the one they want to have a go at. He has been fine for me.

£6million, i would hold out for. If its only £5.2million, I personally would play hard ball, and am sure we could get £6 million in the summer.

What I would say though is, with Edwards coming in, I could see him playing this role at some point and others have said with Morgan, Field and Hayden to, its not as if this role is without cover.

Feel all the nastiness though on here against Varane is very odd. Certainly doesnt deserve boo boy status at all

Terry Yorath RIP

Clumsy words indeed.

Could have left it at the first two sentences. Him saying he enabled Gabby to be employed by Sky because he thought she would be ok as he knew her dad. Bigging himself up and probably a very flimsy truth also.

I was bit too young to remember him as a player but knew the back story with his son.

RIP Terry.

RND - Whats occurring ??
at 17:09 9 Jan 2026

Yes similar question

Stephan has rotated most players in a three game week.

I appreciate with RND, someone is trotting out this narrative, but can someone point me to occurrences where this has clearly been an issue.

i can only recall a few poor games he has had, but if this has regularly only been on three game weeks - when what i would say nearly all of the squad have played poorly at least once in three game weeks.

He does what it says on the tin for me. And we seriously have proven so often with full backs, we have serious issues with finding solid full backs and quite surprised most are finding reasons for us to look elsewhere.

With a negotiated deal and wages that are relevant for his role and impact, cant see any evidence shown so far not to sign....

Agree re comments on Morrison.

He has been decent at times, still young at 22. When he has had a run in the team, has been fine for me. People already promoting Tylon Smith above him is a bit nuts. The guy hasnt played a single competitive mens match as yet.

Yes he has done well at age level football. Didnt get a minute on the pitch at Afcon and only played in Carabao Cup farce against Plymouth.

Morrison was in and around at Celtic and Bayern Munich.

Possibly similar routes to QPR, but Morrison has already showed he can kick on. Yes there is hope for Tylon, but he has zero experience as yet.

Cook and JCS wont be here or performing much for ourselves.

Why ditch Luam Morrison ???
