More movement at Leeds United as midfielder departs Thursday, 18th Aug 2016 16:22 by Lucas Monk Leeds midfielder Alex Purver has been shipped out on loan to Guiseley of the National League until January. The midfielder has not yet made a senior appearance for Leeds, but he played in no less than 33 games for United's under-21 team last season and featured on numerous occasions during the club's pre-season campaign this summer. The 20-year-old, who predominantly plays in central midfield but who can also be deployed as a right-back, signed a new one-year deal at Elland Road in June. Guiseley are currently bottom of the National League, having lost their opening four matches of the season. Purver could make his debut for Guiseley this Saturday, away to newly-promoted Solihull Moors. The deal is Leeds' second of the day, with the Whites confirming the signing of Sweden centre-back Pontus Jansson on a season-long loan from Torino earlier. Jansson could make his United debut this Saturday, as his new side make the short trip to Sheffield Wednesday, who were stunned by Burton Albion earlier in the week, losing 3-1 at the Pirelli Stadium.
