Sky Sports are reporting that Julian Brandt is "fascinated" by a three-year deal offer on the table from Leeds United just over two-years since appearing in a Champions League final.

Brandt, 30, called time on his seven-year stint with Borrussia Dortmund earlier this summer and his father/agent was spotted at Thorp Arch last week.

Despite interest from Ajax and Serie A, believed to be AS Roma, it is understood the Gernan midfielder ls keen to put his undoubted talents to the test in England.

An attacking midfielder, he can boast 57 goals and 70 assists in just over 300 ganes for Dortmund. He previously starred at Bayer Leverkusen, where he has been training since becoming a free-agent.

Its hard not to get good vibes about his potential arrival. Ok, he will want a hefty wage even if he's coming on a free. Yes he's 30 so a three-year deal sounds about right and I don't think we've had an individual, consistently creative midfielder in our side since "El Mago" Pablo Hernandez left five-years ago.

Id rather us get this one done than be dragged into an auction for Shea Charles! Yes I know, Charles is a different style of midfielder, eg a defensive one. Fulham apparently are the latest club to be knocked-back by Southampton, who are holding out for £30m for somebody who hasn't played in the top-flight who could walk away for free in a years time.
